I strongly recommend the Strength classes with both Zeynep and Joanna. They’re always challenging workouts in a great atmosphere, and — super conveniently! — they’re held at the same time as my daughter’s gymnastics class at the children’s gym next door.

This is my fourth week of taking classes at Mats Boston. I have been going 2-3 times a week. I love how it’s small-group training model with a very positive and supportive vibe, where the instructors remember your name and always emphasize that we are here to work out for ourselves, not comparing with our neighbors. And no two classes are the same! Always a great thing to keep the body guessing.

Wonderful gym with kind and knowledgeable instructors. I like how they set up stations with the necessary equipment before you arrive to class so you already have everything you need at the start and aren't frantically looking for weights and equipment! Instructors provide hands-on support and are very encouraging.

My second class with Shannon really cemented Mats being a hidden gem for me. After trying out countless other classes with trainers/instructors of varying skill sets, price points, and motivations, this is truly the best find yet! The instructor is warm, thoughtful, considerate, yet motivating and using evidence-based *intuitive* cues to make sure we're always checking in on our bodies. The mindfulness of the instructor really pushed the bar for me 😳💕 I've never been so consistent with my routine than with the team here. Thanks Mats!

Great class! I took a strength class with Zeynep and she really focuses on your form and helps you fix it, making sure to work out the right muscles and prevent injury. Nice, clean studio and the workouts were great. If you like small group workout classes with more individual attention I really recommend this class.

I had a fantastic experience at MATS BOSTON and highly recommend it, especially for beginners. I found this place via ClassPass and decided to try it out (Sidenote: I wrote a review on ClassPass already so I just copied and pasted it here). As someone new to yoga, I was a bit nervous, but the class exceeded my expectations. The studio is clean, cozy, and intimate — not a large, intimidating space like commercial gyms can sometimes be. The small class size made it feel personal, and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating a welcoming atmosphere. Pratishtha, the instructor, was exceptional—warm, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable. Her passion for yoga and genuine care for her students really shine through in how she tailors the class to suit her students’ needs. Her instructions were clear and calming. I left feeling relaxed, light, and free of the tension in my hips. If you're seeking a supportive space to try yoga, MATS BOSTON is the ideal choice :).

I have been attending Mats Boston for their small group training session for the past three months and love it there! I have never liked the gym and felt lost on what to do when I was there these classes have been a huge win for me! The instructors are extremely nice and very knowledgeable they remember injuries that members have had and will adjust the workout to ensure it is safe for them while continuously checking in on everyone in the class throughout. Each week brings something new and it is not just the same classes over and over again! Extremely glad I joined and would encourage anyone who is unsure to give the trial week a try and you will definitely be wanting to join like I was !
