I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Boston Underground Strength Training. I’ve been training here for just over a year, and joining this gym has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. As someone who came in with no strength training background, I found the idea of lifting weights pretty intimidating at first—but my experience at BUST has been the complete opposite. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, and it’s a place where I’ve felt completely comfortable from day one. The coaches are fantastic—encouraging, knowledgeable, and always pushing you to be your best in the most supportive way. They’ve helped me gain strength and confidence I never thought I’d have. It’s taken time and effort to make progress, but what I really appreciate is that I didn’t have to sacrifice everything else in life to achieve it. The coaches help you build fitness into your life in a sustainable way, without it taking over. This is a special place. They manage to combine rigorous and well informed training techniques with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Most gyms have one or the other -- this one has both. Cannot recommend enough to folks at all places of their fitness journeys. The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, the equipment is top of the line, and the operating model they use to run the gym and keep everyone coming in and out at the right times makes a boatload of sense. Worth every penny!

Boston Underground Strength Training is where it’s at! The facility, programming and coaching is all thoughtfully curated and crafted. The strength training camps are high energy and thoughtfully organized, but beyond that, the true gem of “BUST” is the coaching. The connectedness with the coaches allows for safe training sessions, modifications as needed, and helpful feedback. The goal is always safety, pacing, and good form at BUST. I’m so grateful I made the decision to join this awesome community!

"What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" One of the best investments I made in myself in the past few years has been joining Boston Underground Strength Training for their semi-private training sessions. The pandemic shutdown (along with a serious lack of discipline) had contributed to my loss of conditioning, so I was looking for a place that could help me gain it back. I was so fortunate to find this gym! The coaches assess your current level of fitness and then, through a tailored-to-you program, work with you to increase your strength and stamina. They listen to your goals (mine was a somewhat nebulous "I want to feel better") and encourage you every step of the way. My sessions here are highlights of my week! I've been working out with the coaches at BUST for six months now, and feel better than I have in a long while. Every four weeks, the workouts are changed so it is always interesting, and the workouts are challenging, but in the best way! There is no judgement here, only encouragement and enthusiasm for your progress. The gym is spotless, there's plenty of room so I don't feel crowded, and it's a very enjoyable atmosphere to work out in. I highly recommend BUST to anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level. You will not regret it.

Absolutely and easily the best gym experience I have ever had. I look forward to my sessions each week and I always feel great afterward. The coaches are very kind and knowledgeable, and the space is well-maintained and clean. Boston Underground Strength Training is an excellent gym that provides an all-around great experience! The thing that initially drew me to this gym was the semi-private strength training. I've done some strength training in the past, but I have a hard time motivating myself to exercise in a self-directed way, and I've also been somewhat intimidated by open gym settings—so having that element of a structure and guidance from the coaches was exactly what I needed. Having a new workout plan crafted for me each month based on my goals and progress is amazing and keeps things fresh, and it's so motivating and reassuring to have the coaches there with me as I train to give pointers on form and how to do each exercise—and occasionally give a gentle push or make a modification—without judgment. I've been a member for 6 months now, training once a week, and it has had such a noticeable positive impact on my physical and mental health. This was the most valuable thing I've done for myself all year. Highly recommend!

I've been training at Boston Underground Strength Training since January. Prior to joining, I was working out on my own, hit a plateau and decided I needed something to push me harder than I could push myself. Since joining, I've participated in all three of the group classes and have seen great results, thoroughly enjoyed myself and met some really cool people. The coaches, Angel and Jon, are great, extremely attentive, hands on and clearly love what they do. The environment has loud music, is clean and has an aura of pride throughout it. You won't regret joining this gym, everything is at your own pace and the only pressure you feel to to work as hard as you can.
