I've been training with Sean for 8 months. I was seeking a trainer to bounce back safely from the pandemic and to prepare to become more of a caretaker to my loved ones. I did months of research before reaching out to Sean because of his approach: sustainability, safety, and balance. Actually training with Sean has exceeded expectations. Sean is funny, patient, and compassionate. He takes my goals seriously meets me where I am. Each month I experience noticeable growth and progress. Sean's programs are practical yet challenging. The programs also feel thoughtful. I never feel that the programs are cookie cutter or unnecessarily complicated to make me feel incapable (yes, I've been there before!) Heading into my mid-30's, I am stronger in body and mind than I have ever been and I believe in myself more than ever. If any of this resonates with you, contact Sean now!!

To say I was nervous about working with a trainer is an understatement. I was the girl picked last in phys ed, I loathe The Sports, and I’m extremely judgmental about gym culture. But a few years ago, I’d decided to try exercising on my own and ended up doing way too much cardio, and nothing else. One day, I was trying to buy cat litter, and I was literally struggling to lift the jumbo box I need for my multiple cats into the grocery cart. Friends, I realized that my approach wasn’t just wrong for my body, it was starting to affect my CATS. It was time for action. Enter Sean, a patient and understanding cat-owning trainer, to set me right. My husband and I have *loved* our couples sessions. Now, I walk through the grocery store without a cart, “Farmer’s Carrying” TWO jumbo cat litter boxes with my BARE HANDS. We even acquired an 80-pound dog who is afraid of stairs, just so my newly buff husband can carry him up the stairs whenever needed. For people who don’t work with Sean a few times a week, that would undoubtedly be an annoyance. But instead, we positively revel in the improvement in our personal strength, and *welcome* our wimpy dog’s deficiencies. I know our dog is grateful (and probably also very impressed). Do yourself and your needy animals a favor- you will not find a better guide for strength training, no matter your level. At 41, I’m stronger than I have ever been, and I’m excited to continue improving.

I’ve been going to Sean at Mountain View Strength for 18 months and I can honestly say that it’s one of best decisions I’ve ever made. He brings positivity and passion to training that makes it enjoyable as well as fruitful. Sean tailors a program and changes it regularly - it never feels dull. I highly recommend giving Sean a call.

I’m always skeptical of rave reviews, but in my experience with Sean, it is absolutely warranted. Sean is a knowledgeable, experienced, and personable trainer whom I highly recommend! I started training with him nine months ago because I sustained a shoulder injury that left me unable to do much on my own in the gym without pain. Our first goal was to support my recovery; Sean’s plan was extremely effective in getting me back to functioning fully. Now I’m working on getting stronger and meeting my personal goals. To that end, Sean provides varied workouts that challenge my brain as well as my body. He gives excellent guidance and encouragement along the way. He is friendly and genuinely cares about me. He assesses my progress every three months so I get objective measures of my success. Outside the gym, he provides a quarterly newsletter and additional resources and he is extremely prompt with email communication. I’ve been extremely pleased with all aspects of his services and encourage others to train with him because he is an exceptional coach and super-nice guy.

Sean is great to work with! He plans workouts that challenge yet don’t exceed your ability. It’s not long before you realize he’s helped you raise your personal bar. He changes things up on a regular basis to keep workouts interesting.
