Great shop and very helpful and knowledgeable staff! I came in to get fitted for running shoes and they have an awesome machine to see which shoes would be best for your foot shape/arch. Danny was a big help and I’m so excited to try out my new shoes and insoles!
Great staff, very helpful and welcoming. Bought a pair of Hoka sneakers and recently went hiking. Soaked in water I let it dry and it was fine!
This was my first time shopping at Marathon Sports and I 100% will be back! I have no knowledge whatsoever when it comes to footwear, and I am a casual runner working towards a 10k. Since my last run my feet have been killing me, and I knew I needed better running shoes that supported my feet but I had no idea where to start. As soon as I walked in Audra greeted me with a smile and began assisting me. She was so personable and knowledgeable when it came to running shoes. After measuring my feet she brought out a few options for me to try and had me run outside so she could look at the way my feet and ankles moved as I ran. I have never been asked to do this at other stores, and I was so grateful that she was so inclined to help me find the right running shoe!! I left with a pair of Brooks which were the perfect shoe for my feet. I had a lovely experience at Marathon Sports and I couldn’t recommended it enough!!!
Great store! Super helpful and personable staff. I have very complicated feet, but they were knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. Even recommending one of their sister stores closer to me in CT. Can't go wrong stopping in here.

I never write reviews but this store is definitely review worthy! I walked thru the door, was greeted promptly by a pleasant lady and was asked to take off shoes to see how i walked. I told her of arthritis in great toe and a bunion, same place. She asked me to take a seat, within minutes she returned with 3 boxes. I tried the first 2, not even bothering with the 3rd. She knew her business! Have bought both. Walked out wearing one. So pleased with product and service!
Great store to get your running gear. The friendly staff was very helpful to help to select my new shows in the right size, also being able to confirm the proper fit on the treadmill, comparing the different models. Highly recommended if you want to update your shoes.
I was really happy with my experience here. In the past few years I've mostly had frustrating attempts to (unsuccessfully) buy new running shoes online or at big-box stores, decided it was time to try a place with actual staff and expertise. Staff were really wonderful (I mainly talked to Danny) who helped figure out what I needed for my gait and that was within my budget; i was able to try actually running on the sidewalk outside in multiple pairs, which was so much better than walking around on carpeted floors at most stores. If you're a student, let them know for a discount; they also give you 30 days in case you have any issues. I was worried shopping here would be a more expensive option than buying online and that turned out not to be the case for me, and it was definitely a better, quicker experience. Definitely planning to come back here when I need my next pair.

This is the only store I buy running shoes now. They really stand behind their recommendations and give great advice. Yes, you can find them cheaper elsewhere but the customer service and expertise are worth supporting.
I bought my Son his first pair of cross country sneakers here. He has wide feet and needs orthotics, and is amazingly picky. The owner watched him walk, sized his feet and brought him out a pair of sneakers. He liked them! I was floored. Usually, its a huge struggle. Now we go there every year. My son runs between 3 and 5 miles a day, April through October. Im so grateful that we found Marathon Sports!

Great selection.
Marathon is awesome - the employees really know their stuff and arent at all pushy. One man spent a full 45 minutes making sure I had the perfect pair of shoes. He said he has run dozens of marathons and personally wanted to make sure I dont get hurt. Great selection of shoes, the store felt safe, everyone wore masks.

Worked with Carolyn to get my first pair of solid running shoes. Very intelligent on filtering the perfect shoe for my foot. Got me on track for my first marathon... just stomped my first 10k with the New Balances she helped me pick out! Couldnt speak more highly of this place.

I work 60 hrs a week and rarely get to sit down. Having been an avid runner in the past, I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for. They hooked me up in no time flat and now my feet cant wait to get to work! Its the rest of me that wants to stay home. :/

A local fixture for many years in the Pioneer Valley, NRC has incredible range of selection in shoes and apparel. The staff is also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about all things running / walking. On top of being an excellent resource for the runners, NRC also gives back to the local community through various race sponsorship ( Hot Chocolate Run ) and charitable support ( Girls On the Run ). I cannot recommend this store enough and hope you decide to shop local by going to NRC!

Many years ago (10+) I went here to get fitted for running shoes. They explained how they went about fitting me for running shoes and I since then I have been wearing the same model of running shoes, getting a new pair every year or so. As I have become more interested in running regularly I thought it would be good idea to go and get refitted. Jeff went out of his way to educate me about the local running community and also how shoes are fitted. I was curious about different brands, models, and trail vs. road shoes, he answered all the questions and now I have a wealth of new information that will continue to be helpful. My mother is not a running but was looking for new walking shoes and they provided a welcoming and helpful atmosphere. I am also pleased with their small scale store. They have the best quality out there--- I highly recommend them!
