Keene family YMCA cold showers not enough hot water. I often find myself going home to take my own shower and my home hot shower in my apartment

I can’t rave enough about this place and the business professionals who work there! I moved up to the northeast (Brattleboro, VT) from the south east and have a ymca membership. That landed me at the Keene family YMCA. From the get go I could’ve believe that it was a YMCA. Looks more like a ski resort than a gym. Lol. I got to utilize the gym for two week before I was sent elsewhere for work. In that time I made a couple friends who work there and were so helpful. Especially being new to the area! Scott is the person I bonded with the most. This experience at the Keene family YMCA has made me love the city of Keene. Thank you to all the good people there and I hope you get recognized for your work!

The YMCA is very modern and well-equipped. It’s located in a suburban area of Keene, which offers a quiet country setting outside the city. They provide a wide variety of classes and amenities, including: - An Aquatics Center with two pools, a hot tub, and a sauna - A Wellness Center featuring free weights, machines, cardio equipment, and staff assistance - An Indoor Track for walking, running, or interval training - A full-court Basketball Gymnasium - A fully equipped Gymnastics Center - Group Exercise and Cycling Studios - A 30-foot indoor Climbing Wall Membership options vary based on the type of membership, whether it’s for individuals, families, or seniors, with different fees for each category.

The Keene Y is one of the nicest Ys I've been to. Excellent gymnastics program, lap pool, therapy/teaching pool, hot tub, sauna, climbing wall, and lots of programming as well

The Keene family YMCA needs to be more thoroughly cleaned, especially in the steam room. I noticed some pink slimy stuff on the door that needs to be cleaned to wipe down sanitize swept out and then I noticed in the woman's locker room changing rooms Dusty needs to be swept out. Pile of dust need to wipe down and clean benches

The staff works hard to keep the facility clean and safe for all who use it. The instructors are amazing, and there is a variety of equipment to use. The group exercise classes are great - my only complaint is that there are not enough offerings of the popular classes and not enough in the evenings after work or on the weekends.

I’ll start with the good. I have loved the child watch for my kids. All the workers in there have been amazing, welcoming, and my kids are always happy. The facility is always very clean! Someone is always around cleaning and it shows! Now as to why I’m upset. Today me and my two young children were asked to leave for an unknown rule no one has ever mentioned to me in the month I’ve been attending. Apparently you have to go to your “home Y” a certain amount of days a month before you can use their Y in Keene. Apparently this also varies at each facility, which should definitely be made clear. So instead of saying “next time, you won’t be allowed at our Keene YMCA location if you haven’t checked into your home Y”, I was asked to leave with two screaming crying children. My 5 year old was absolutely heartbroken. I never write reviews unless they are good ones truthfully and the rule totally makes sense after it was explained but I think the right thing to do would have been a warning so I wasn’t blind sided and made to either pay more money or to leave. I also explained I was mid process of switching over my membership so that the Keene Y was my “home” one which ended up switching over just a few hours later…

They enjoy taking money that never belong to them (stealing). They will them claim they never received the cancelation form. Mismanaged organization. My family will never be rejoining!
