My experience at Pure Barre Harvard Square has been nothing short of magical. The instructors are funny, friendly and extremely helpful - they really work hard to ensure everyone succeeds in their goals - especially at this studio. I turned 40 this past year, and I have never felt stronger and more confident in my body. Grab a friend and a pair of sticky socks and try it out! I did on a dare two years ago and am a Pure Barre convert!

For the past eight months, I have been attending Pure Barre. I began due to an osteoarthritis diagnosis and an inability to lie flat on my back on a hard surface. I have gone to Empower, Define, Reform, and Classic. I love Define, and Empower is not my favorite, but Pure Barre is the best. When i began last February, I got tremendous support from the leaders and the participants. I have improved from 50% to 90% success, to 100% planks during Classic, to being able to get up from flat back to table top. I am also now able to lie flat on my back, Who would have thought!

I’ve been going to PB Harvard sq for a little over 2 months now. Every teacher is so great and they push you to your full potential! The studio is accommodating for all levels too. It’s truly one of the best full body workouts. I love the define and empower classes!

Pure Barre is the best! It is a super fun but very hard workout. I'm not wasting my time with this class - I can see the results and I'm stronger because of this class. I use this class as my hip mobility physical therapy session. My lower back pain is so much better because of Pure Barre. I love that I'm in control of how hard I work and I know when to take it easy so I don't hurt myself. I can't say enough of good things about Portland Pure Barre. I just love it and I'm so grateful that I found it.

Unfortunately, as you get older the medical diagnoses are “it’s part of the aging process.” For the past six months osteoporosis and thoracic arthritis have been part of my life. Last September I found I could not lie flat on my back on a yoga mat and do floor exercises, but I could still golf, ski, walk and live! In January due to an amazing amount of snow in Colorado, we could not get to the mountain to ski, so volunteering at a food pantry and my friend’s barre studio in Denver were the alternatives. I returned to Cambridge in late January, and joined Pure Barre on 1/29. Two months later, I have been to 31 classes, and unbelievably, I am now able to lie flat on my back for many exercises without pain. I can’t do everything, and I feel great. I definitely recommend Pure Barre for everyone. The instructors are wonderful, and they suggest accommodations to the exercises that are too difficult for anyone. I am 73, and Pure Barre rocks!

Hi, I’m a guy & I’ve spent the past 20 years long distance running as pretty much my sole exercise. Then I started Pure Barre at Harvard Square & Assembly Row and I’ve never felt better. The series of workouts (Classic, Define, Align) have been challenging and fun, and the instructors like Jamie, Raquel, and Hannah are awesome. Guys - start Pure Barre and find out for yourself how much you’ll like it!
