I wholeheartedly can recommend Emma Taylor and Sisu Boston Physical Therapy and Performance for all your PT needs. I am in the unfortunate position to have sampled lots of different PT options in the Boston area and Emma stands out as one of the best. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and invested into her patients--starting of with a thorough evaluation of an injury, detailed treatment plans toward improvement, and continued adjustment of the exercises through the healing process.

I began working with Emma of Sisu Boston prior to the scheduled arthroscopic procedure on my knee which strengthened the supporting areas and allowed a smoother transition to the post-surgical recovery. Following the surgical procedure, numerous balance mobility exercises, isolated strength builds, and plyometrics were instrumental to getting me back to running on the solid ground. I have been in the triathlon scene for almost 40 years, and wasn't ready to give up the active lifestyle just yet. Physio sessions with Emma were instrumental for me to begin trusting my knee and a key segway back to training and racing. I appreciated the on-site concierge service that made the entire process easy and saved enormous time. Thank you, Emma. Really looking forward to another season as a competitive triathlete.

Emma is the best! I have been working with her on strengthening my pelvic floor for the past six moths and I am very pleased with the noticeable results. Not only have some weak pelvic floor symptoms decreased significantly, but my stability, range of motion, core, and leg strength has also improved. Emma is incredibly knowledgable and easy to work with. She explains the purpose of each exercise as it relates to our goals and breaks everything down into language that is digestible and understandable to a non-PT. She provides personalized and detailed exercise plans after each session and is always available via email for questions between sessions. She is fun to chit chat with while we work and really makes sessions fun and approachable. She loves all things running which is a huge plus for me so we can nerd out together and I also know she is tailoring our work to my training. Worth every penny!

Working with Emma has been one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy and postpartum journey. From the very first session, she brought warmth, expertise, and genuine care to every interaction. Her deep knowledge of pre- and postnatal physical therapy gave me confidence that I was doing the best for my body and my baby. Throughout my pregnancy, Emma helped me stay strong, mobile, and pain-free. She tailored every session to meet my needs, helping me prevent pelvic floor issues and feel empowered heading into labor. Thanks to her guidance, I had a smoother delivery and felt much more prepared—physically and mentally. Postpartum, Emma’s support was just as invaluable. She helped me regain strength, heal safely, and reconnect with my body. Her encouragement and customized exercises made all the difference in my recovery. Emma isn’t just an exceptional physical therapist—she’s also a compassionate coach and a true partner in your wellness journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking personalized, expert care through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

If you’re looking for the best physical therapy in the Boston area, look no further! Emma will get you back to whatever activity you like- feeling strong and fully recovered! I’ve worked with over 10 other physical therapists but it was so unique to work with a PT who was as knowledgeable and empathetic as Emma. I’m so happy my friend recommended her to me. I really looked forward to every session with Emma and can’t recommend enough!!

I highly recommend working with Emma at Sisu Boston if you need physical therapy, especially if you're an athlete! Emma was professional, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and overall great to work with. She explained exactly what was going on with my back injury and Achilles and gave me exercises that objectively improved my movement patterns. She never hesitated to answer questions and gave me a clear plan I was able to follow easily. I'm now back to enjoying squash and running and hope to do another marathon next year!
