Hello My name is Kenneth Johnson I cancelled my membership to your club on 10 Franklins street in August, I've been billed Fraudulent since September through December, I've contacted my and filed a claim against your company, and I will also contact the BBB of Boston to file a claim of Fraud. Please contact your club on Franklin street and rectify this issue, I've tried to no avail. This will turn not out in your favor if it's not corrected. Anyone who joins this gym, please check your bank account.
Nice gym, but the AC is down and it’s hotter in the gym than it is outside. They had no fans running and no temp AC in place. Comment by the staff was “Our AC is kinda broken…”
I’m currently switching gyms. Went to try out this location in downtown crossing and was told I could NOT try out their Advertised Free Pass to see how I like the gym. A company rep even called my cell phone and personally invited me to try the free pass. They denied their responsibility and blamed in on the Florida telemarketing firm they outsourced. However, they were wicked polite about it. They showed me all the equipment I wasn’t allowed to try out and kindly asked me for my debit card instead of a free pass. It was a wonderful experience.
I really like this location compared to the other BSC in the Boston area. The equipment is newer and there is a lot of space. I go after work to this location, and it is never too crowded and there's a nice view out the window. The staff and teachers are friendly as well.
This is a good gym. The staff are very friendly and there is a ton of equipment and space. Locker rooms are pretty average… they are kept relatively clean. The showers are not the best but adequate. The gym itself can get very hot during the summer. Sauna is nice. Overall, I enjoy going to this gym for what is a pretty affordable price relative to the market. If you are a student be sure to avail of their student rates!
Staff is friendly, equipment is pretty much what you want or can expect. Space is good for downtown. My only complaint is the men's locker room. It's clean, it has the amenities, but it is so, so humid. Constantly humid. I understand there are showers in there, but there's zero ventilation. I can wait until I stop sweating, take a cold shower, and then still by the time I start trying to get dressed I'm re-drenched in sweat. It's miserable. Even a few fans in there would address the issue, and it's mind-blowing that they haven't taken even that minor step. I'd probably give the place 4 stars if it weren't for that experience, as right now I could never recommend this place to anyone who has to go to work or even get on the train after working out here. EDIT: I should point out that this is not limited to the Summer. In the Winter, the same thing happens, except then you have bundle your sweaty self into a winter coat, only to freeze as soon as you walk out the door.
Today they are 0 stars. Trying to get to the gym for a while. Checked their Google business page today and said open to 9 as usual. Just thrown out at 7. Major inconvenience as going out and now must go home to shower, not to mention only half a workout. Bad enough they closed the club that is near my house as well as the one in the South End that had parking. Yes they had a small sign on the desk amongst everything else on the desk. They know no one stops at the desk and reads that stuff. You can do better. Update your Google page and put a pedestal sign x as you walk in that we can’t miss if you are going to change the norm. I know it wasn’t just me as there were 40 people caught off guard.
