Middlesex Magic in Belmont

Hands down the best AAU Basketball program in New England for high academic prospects. Mike has done a phenomenal job developing Middlesex Magic into a nationally recognized travel basketball organization that sends countless players to Division 1,2 and 3 schools around the country. I highly recommend their program for student athletes that live in the New England area.

Playing for the Middlesex Magic was one of the most valuable and beneficial experiences of my life. There is not a better program in the country at teaching the qualities of being not just a great basketball player but life qualities and lessons that extend well beyond the basketball court. During my time with the Middlesex Magic, I achieved the level of success I wanted for myself as a basketball player, and along the way built relationships that will last a lifetime. This is all due to the culture Mike Crotty has instilled in this program over the years. For players who want to take their basketball skills to the next level, there is no better set of coaches to help them get to that point than Coach Crotty, Coach Giordano, and Coach Boyle. In a program where the coaches lead by example and truly care about all of their players success, it’s no secret why the Magic have become one of the most well respected and premier AAU programs in the country.

I can’t say enough positive things about the Magic program. All the coaches have all been great to work with, very skilled and prepared to improve the players’ game. Coach Crotty takes personal interest in his players and goes the “extra mile” for each of them. The program is excellent!

My three years playing with the Middlesex Magic under Coach Crotty was without a doubt the most rewarding experience of my life. While success on the court might have been the obvious goal, Crotty taught me, and countless others, how to be a hard worker, a great teammate, competitor, and person. He teaches by example, inspiring us to aim higher and push ourselves. Coach’s commitment to us was absolute and I am so proud to have been part of this program. The Magic is in many ways a family. During my time with the Magic I built relationships that will last a lifetime. It’s a program where the coaches respect the players, and the players respect the coaches. I can’t imagine ever playing for another program and coach. I am forever grateful!

Middlesex Magic is a great AAU program! Skill development and teamwork are key throughout, starting in the youngest grades. As your child gets older there are opportunities to play on the HS Middlesex teams at many different levels. The coaching staff is really committed to helping the players improve and learn the game. Older players who are interested in playing in High School and beyond are supported throughout their processes.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Middlesex Magic is an exceptional program. Every coach we came into contact with supported our sons basketball development as well as his personal development. They teach and play team basketball which served our son both on and off the court. The communication with us as parents was exceptional and our son truly loved his years playing with the Magic.

It has been 10 years since I put on the Middlesex Magic jersey, and I still look back at that time as one of the most rewarding basketball experiences of my life. Mike Crotty is a great coach and has continued to stay in my life as a mentor/friend. I highly recommend the Magic to any young player who is willing to put in the work to try to be great

We have never had such an amazing experience in AAU. Our son needed this program. Mike Crotty was a game changer. He was much more than a coach. He became family. He guided us through the college recruiting process, he made connections for George that we never would have had, and ultimately helped George succeed at the D1 college level. He is where he is supposed to be and we owe a lot of that to Mike and his commitment to these kids. The program has a special way of seeking out great kids that work together as a team and have respect for one another. My son’s team remained very close and still support one another on and off the court. We could not have been happier with such a successful AAU program, but more importantly with all the friends we made along the way. We love Middlesex Magic!
