Dr. Brett assessed my 2 month old for tongue, buccal and lip ties and ultimately helped prepare her for the procedure to remove them. She is very kind, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. Highly recommend.

As a young retiree I first met Brett for knee therapy from a hiking accident. I really liked the one-on-one approach versus the bullpen approach many PT outfits have. It’s private — as a result there is a better wholistic approach. I have brought problems I thought I had to live with for the rest of my life in the form of a cramped left foot. The list goes on. Dr. Brett is indispensable to my health and well-being.

Dr. Brett is a wonderful physical therapist! She is obviously very passionate and knowledgeable about the work she does. I have been working with her for pre and postnatal care including pelvic girdle pain, diastasis recti, pelvic floor therapy, and C-section recovery. I feel like I learn so much every time I visit. During my last visit I really appreciated how she helped me manage my newborn during the appointment. She even helped me bring his car seat out to the car afterwards! Thank you Dr. Brett!

Dr Brett is fabulous! She’s helped me with pelvic floor therapy during my pregnancy and postpartum, and has helped my 4 month old with his torticollis and so much more. If you want a physical therapist who is kind, knowledgeable, and great at what they do, I highly recommend going to Oak Physical Therapy.

Dr. Brett is so caring and thoughtful! Additionally she is extremely knowledgeable. She truly cares about each patients well being and needs and will do whatever she can to help them. I wanted to cry tears of relief both times leaving her office. Once for myself and once for my son because I finally had someone who listened to the issues I was having, validated my feelings, identified the problem, and gave me advice and a game plan for next steps!

Dr. Ashenfelter at Oak physical therapy has been a godsend in my parenting journey and also, somewhat unexpectedly, my own personal health journey! I first went to Dr. Ashenfelter when my baby was just a few days old due to some tongue-tie related issues. She has continued to support me and my additional children through all of my postpartum and baby/toddler development related questions. Dr. Ashenfelter is so much more than just our physical therapist - she is a trusted medical professional who never ceases to look at the whole picture and find the best individualized approaches that work for our family. She listens, validates, empathizes and provides solutions - which I have found to be rare in our healthcare journeys! We are so grateful to have found Oak Physical Therapy!

Brett is a wonderful soul. She is empathetic and validating and meets you right where you're at. She can put things together in her minds eye that allow the whole picture of your health/body to become clearer. She is not afraid to think outside of the box and really get into the details that can make such a difference, which you don't get so much in a more conventional PT model. I have seen her for my baby's severe oral restrictions and my daughter's ADHD. And my favorite journey with her has been my own personal processing of birth trauma, pelvic restrictions, cesarean scar healing, and working towards achieving optimal body balance, so that my body is healed when it's time to have another child. ♥️

We were referred to Dr. Brett by my lactation consultant after we learned that my son had torticollis and latch problems. She was incredible to work with and extremely knowledgeable on all things baby (and mother – which I found out after I started going to her for my own pelvic floor problems). She is compassionate, empathetic, and was able to completely correct my son’s torticollis (which was pretty bad - for a while he couldn’t turn to the left at all). Not only was she able to help with anything PT related, she also took interest in our lives. She’s delightful to talk to and helped me, a stay-at-home mom who had no idea what to do for child development, learn different activities to do at home that encouraged speech development and proper muscle and sensory devolvement. In terms of my own pelvic floor health journey, she creates customizable workouts, answers every silly question I have, and cares about my overall wellbeing, not just my muscles. I can’t recommend her enough.
