British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults of all ages, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside of Hart Center, our swim school is open year-round, so you can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small group swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

Our experience at BSS has been wonderful! The teachers are caring and attentive to each child's individual needs. Out kid loves going to swim class, has been making great progress and is developing confidence in the water. His goal is to eventually make Barracuda! He also gets on well with the teachers and is even starting to make friends with his classmates. We can't really ask for anything more!
My son (3 yo) and I love the BSS and have been part of the program for 9 months. We have taken clases in Paxton, Westborough, and now Worcester and we truly enjoy the classes and instructors. I am happy my son is learning the survival skills to be prepared for the water.
We’re thrilled with the instruction our child has received at the BSC! All the instructors have been nurturing and supportive and our child has been able to utilize the skills he’s been taught on his own. Our child loves the water and really wants to advance through the levels all the way to Shark 2. The school’s staff is helpful and the app is really easy to use in terms of scheduling absences and makeups. It’s great to be able to see the specific skills our child needs to master and to have instructor comments as well!
The swim instructors are great with my son. He was afraid to learn how to swim but was very comfortable off the bat with them. He's learned so much over the past couple weeks. I am very happy with my decision to choose to send him to the British Swim School!
