Best gym I've been too 10/10, would HIGHLY recommend
Very welcoming, enjoy the fitness classes, equipment, and pool.
Please tell gym members coming in wearing political attire to change or remove it. I go to the gym for a break from politics.
Nope, not worth your time, plenty other gyms in area. That are better and have nicer people in them
Chill, ok vibes type of gym. Decent equipment. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Drinking water is not filtered.
If you have a young family. This isn't the YMCA for you. We utilize the swim lessons, due to convenience of location. It's really the only thing a toddler can do at the Y unless you leave them for up to 90mins in the childcare room. Any of the group classes are 12 years and older. There isn't anything that a kid can do. Open gym is alright, but its usually private basketball lessons and pickleball. Pickleball is SOOO big with this Y its crazy. This Y is connected to the Senior center, and the population that attend the Y are (from what we have experienced over the last 6months) 50-60yrs+++. It's a very senior community, very senior centric. Even the swim area although technically kid friendly, isn't very fun or appealing. We were hoping it would be a little more fun, like the Roots programs, but it not a place for kids. You buy a family plan but your family really can't participate unless you have teenagers.
We love our YMCA. We recently moved go Wilbraham and its been a great resource for our 7 year old who participates in clubs, Karate and Swimming Classes. Also, great for kids to develop the social emotional skills. Front desk staff is very friendly and keep us informed of all the seasonal classes our family can enjoy. I only wish that Kids Club hours were available during the adult swimming lessons other than that we are very happy with the Membership.
I was thoroughly impressed with how knowledgeable, polite, helpful and competent the front desk staff were. In the time it took me to sign up, the woman was greeted by MANY members who knew her by NAME. This staff member was able to hold brief friendly conversations while productively working towards my new membership! Even the other members were all smiling and very happy. Very welcoming atmosphere!!!
