Locally owned and operated Swim and Tennis Club established in 1972. No longer affiliated with Boston Sports Clubs, former owner Justin Lundberg resumed club operations on October 1, 2020, in order to once again add the local care and oversight to the Club that has been home to so many members for nearly 50 years. WTSC offers superior services in tennis, swim, fitness and children's programs. Services include summer camps, and instructional programs for children of all ages.
Just watched a lady and her two guests walk through the door on January 4th between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. without swiping in or checking in her guests. Members pay over $100 to watch people walk into the gym and use the facility without swiping in or checking in their guests although there are signs posted everywhere and the kid at the desk of the gym is just staring down at his phone all night. It's like a free-for-all. Not to mention a lot of the gym equipment is not maintained and is broken or loose which is dangerous to do exercises on. Don't forget the dad who brings his two young children under 10 and 5 years old into a basketball court where there are two basketball games going on to throw a ball around 🙄 Why are you bringing your young children into a gym? Especially into a basketball court with basketballs flying around and people running around. It's like you're asking for an accident. This place is worse than a public gym!
I have been a member for about 15 years. Love the group x classes. The instructors are the best!
They have the cover over the outdoor swimming pool. The revolving door to go through is extremely small and difficult to maneuver through with a small child and their swim bag.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Westboro Swim and Tennis offers an incredible summer camp experience! My kids had the best time with a perfect mix of swimming, tennis, and fun activities that kept them engaged all day long. The staff is enthusiastic, attentive, and truly invested in making sure each child has an amazing time. The facilities are top-notch, and the camp is well-organized, with a great balance of instruction and free play. It’s a fantastic environment for kids to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy the summer to the fullest. Highly recommend this camp for anyone looking for an awesome summer experience for their kids!
By far one of the best all around! Kids club 5 * every staff member positive, friendly, enthusiastic and engaging: Swimming and Pool another 5* life guards always on target and efficient. Swim lesson program great. Everyone is happy and hard working professional . We have been members for the last three years and my family made the best decision signing up! We love the gym and the fitness classes! Body pump with S another plus. She motivates her class and always smiling. My daughter loves the kids club and camp! She is very excited to attend! She loves the staff and everyone is very welcoming. Summers another great perk. We love the pool and all the summer activities. If you’re looking for a quality fitness club and place for your family to enjoy summer activities and fun: check out the club you will love it!
Our family has been members for 3 months now and we are so grateful to have this available to us. The kids ask daily if they can go to the “kids club” where they offer childcare while we work out of play tennis. Their events have been so much fun, from bounce houses, face pairing to bbqs. The facilities are great, clean, and it’s never crowded. The gym environment is positive and I love the UGx classes offered. It’s made such a difference to our health and overall quality of life, having joined! Highly recommend!
My Wife and I have enjoyed a summer membership at the pool for the last 3 summers. The membership rates have not changed, which is nice. Children under 2 are free for a couples membership and we have been able to enjoy the small pool with her. The lap swim times are flexible with early mornings and evening available for outdoor lap swimming, I rarely have to split lanes, but people are always friendly to accommodate. Overall a very clean and professional pool club experience. We recommend to our friends highly.
Power Project (trained by Dave DiManno) at the Westboro Tennis & Swim Club Review: I participated in Dave’s Power Project for almost 2 years. The Power Project was the best group training experience I have ever been a part of. I have never worked out harder and I have never seen results like this before. I was introduced to many new lifts and lifting concepts I would have never explored on my own. Dave will push you as far as you’re willing to go, and he will do so professionally and safely. He watches your lifts, adjusts your form, and will actively support you the entire time. Dave really cares about his clients. He makes sure everyone does what they’re comfortable with, and he has even stayed after the class ends to make sure everyone completed the workout plan. I would highly recommend the Power Project to anyone who is looking to either begin or advance their fitness in a safe, supportive, and fun gym.
Nice place
Great place for tennis and swimming
So I do not recommend sending you kid to this place. When I sent my kid to the Westborough tennis and swim club the couches and staff werent the kindest to him. He also got many injuries there (also some major injuries) because the staff didnt really care about the kids safety. In the summer camp program I saw kids running onto the street and the cam counselor that was meant to be on duty was just on her phone (which was very unprofessional). They also make kids play tennis outside in the rain in the tennis camp. Also multiple times I reserved a court then came to play on it and the balls were everywhere! So all in all I state that you should not sent your kids here for camp or tennis lessons! >:( . I am very disappointed...
Excellent for tennis and swim ! We have a family membership, very well organized, knowledgeable staff, great facilities, good quality tennis pros My favorite coach Nick Wagner (he coaches my daughters and I), as most tennis coaches hold back on teaching you a lot so you get stuck with them for longer, Nick is extremely invested into getting the best out of you !
Great community resource. For the whole family.
Their machines are always breaking
The personal training experience at the club is great. I have worked with personal trainer Dave DiManno for the past 7 years. I started with Dave when I broke both my ankles and he helped keep my strength up so I could play lacrosse in the spring. Then the past 3 years I have been apart of the Power Project that he runs where we do power lifting along with cardio exercises
Nice facility. Tennis courts are in great condition. Staff very nice.
Great club, love the pool and tennis courts.
Great place with wonderful staff!!
I have been going here for years and really, really enjoy it. The staff are never overbearing like at other gyms, instead just letting you workout which is great. They are also very receptive to feedback from clients, so if a concern comes up, they will help. Highly recommend.
My daughters (4 and 6 years old) absolutely loved camp. They had a very positive experience, made new friends and enjoyed all of the activities. They really like their councelors too. I couldnt have asked for a better experience! We will be going back next summer for sure!
This review is for the summer camp program. This is our daughters 2nd year doing it (she s 11/ entering 6th grade) and we have had a really positive experience here for two years in a row. Her camp experience is great- tons of swim time, great counselors and they have a flexible extended day program (only pay if you use it) which is a really nice benefit as a working parent (who attempts some summer spontaneity!). Betsy, the camp director, is easy to get ahold of and communicate with as needed. We ll likely do it again next year and my daughter hopes to be a CIT eventually
We send our daughter to summer camp. She loves the instructors and all the great activities. She has really improved her swimming this year all thanks to camp at WTS. The camp is very organized and safe. Our daughter even wanted to get dropped off early. The WTS camp offers choices of sports and activities and most importantly the opportunity for kids to make new friends. Thanks for another great camp year. We look forward to signing our daughter up again next year. Thank you!
We love the summer camp at WTSC. My two older kids participated in the tennis camp for a week and my youngest the K camp. Both camps were fantastic! They came home very tired every day and we loved going to the pool after camp most days.
Tennis courts, great fun...great coaches and lots of programming
Nice facility, family friendly and very nice people working here. Everything is always so clean and organized that we feel safe coming here and always have a good time. They also have a kids club where your kid can play with other kids, play with toys, make crafts while you are at the gym, swimming, playing tennis, etc. Highly recommend!
Today I had a court reservation for 1.5 hours. A pathetic example of an employee by the name of Sam Poole came up to me and told me to get off the court in the middle of my session. I told him we had 30 minutes left in my reservation and he told me I was wrong and that would be impossible. Clearly this club cares nothing about customer satisfaction nor do they show any respect towards their members. This worker ended up confronting me and giving me a lecture how he is important in society and how I am the little guy. During this confrontation, I felt threatened and felt like I was being personally attacked. People like this and a poor maintenance of the club are reasons why within 10 years Westboro Tennis and Swim Club will cease to exist.
My kids go to summer and winter camps here and the coordinator Amy is awesome!!! She always responds quickly, extremely helpful and understanding. My kids love the Camps as they swim twice a day and have loads of outdoor activities.
I have canceled my membership and summer Camp due the situation with Corona Virus; hoping to come back some day. But have months trying to have a refund and it looks like no one is responsible for, I think I will need to sue the company to have my money back. The club continues charging my credit card for the membership and sending the summer schedule when I cancelled in March. Gissel Pena
Great club!
Customer focused....state of the art. Clean and dependable.
Nice facilities
Super disappointed...After being a member for some years without incident, I was extremely angry when the director of the childrens program attempted to scold me in front of my children (age 3 and 6) and in front of 3 other staff for calling to check up on my very anxious kindergartener at their Kids Night Out program (this was the 1st time we have ever done this). In FRONT OF MY CHILD, the Director of the Kids Program conveyed the message that it was not ok to talk to her mommy when she felt shy, and the director was upset at the inconvenience it caused her to bring my daughter to the phone...rather than any concern of how they could help my anxious 6 year old. I was told I was allowed to call and ask staff how she was doing, BUT not allowed to talk to her directly because it was too difficult for THEM....(again, no concern for WHY my child felt anxious.or how they could help). When I told her I will talk to my.child when I please, I was met with an attitude, argumentative responses. As I walked out the door in frustration, I mumbled to myself: this is nuts! in shock at the unprofessionalism of the supposed director....And as I was walking out she called out to me with an attitude: What did you say to me?! Un-Be-Leivable....STAY AWAY. If youre not.part of the clicky groups or arent a convenience to the childrens director or staff, you will be met with attitude, gossip, and disrespect, which unfortunately seems downplayed/overlooked by management. That night I was trying to comfort my anxious child and show her that we were there for her if she needed us, the childrens program director COMPLETELY hijacked that message and made my daughter feel like mommy was in trouble.for calling and she was wrong for asking to talk to us when she felt scared.
great and friendly staff, nice tennis court, good gym, currently the swimming pool is in renovation but used to be great
Quality place, pricey, but worth it if you want to swim and are serious about tennis. Staff are friendly and helpful. Online tools are functional and charges are clearly defined. Straightforward operation.
I use the club mostly for the pool. The pool recently had some issues. The cleanliness of the locker room/showers sould be much better. People pay a lot of money to belong to this gym/tennis club... my expectations are to have a clean locker room and an open pool.
I love the tennis here
Was very happy here until the recent acquisition which appears to be a complete botch. Now my trainers are leaving and they can t offer a strength trainer and don t seem to care. I m forced to find a new gym simply because they can no longer offer services here.
Nice clay court.
Best place to swim all year round. I have been a member here for the past 3years.
i bought 36 training sessions 2 trainers quit and now they are saying I used all my sessions, The times they claimed I used dont match up to my calendar and their access report. Watch out!!
Love, love, love this place. All the staff is excellent!
Good pool
They have balls
Has a smoothie bar and small pro shop. Good courts and staff.
Friendly staff and a good equipment/court to member ratio, it never seems to get too crowded. Membership trends towards professionals and families; no gym-rats. Its a pleasant place to work out regardless of your fitness level, everyone seems to be welcome.
We attended an orange ball tournament here with my 10-year old. Jay Dono was overseeing the matches. My son has been in many tournaments before but I saw him being in distress (crying) after the first 20 mins with score 2:4. I wasnt sure why he was in distress. He continued to be upset through the rest of the game. He lost many games before and it was not a big deal. I could only talk to him after the game as parents are not allowed on the court. He said that the other boy was not standing in the right place according to the rules, which gave the other boy advantage. My son is very quiet and by the rules. I wish he had spoken to Jay earlier but he is a kid and didnt know better. After the game, I let Jay Dono know, after he made me wait a really long time chatting with someone from the club instead of attending to the needs of the tournament players or parents of players. I completely understood that the outcome of the first game cannot be changed and I was not challenging the outcome. I just wanted him to keep an eye on the boy with other players. He brushed me off and said: someone else in on the court. I said: Right, but they are not aware of the issue. To which, he just smiled and went back to his tasks without doing anything about it. Overall, dont expect any support if you are not a member of the club and just a passer by.
Scribble Dibble loves WTSC !!!
Great tennis club!
Really nice gym and tennis club Lots of activities for kids and seniors
Good gym
Good place for complete fitness goals
Never too crowded. Machines and weights are always available even during peak evening hours.
Very expensive, great services
The management is awful. I cancelled the membership and they are still charging my credit card. First I called them requested to cancel the membership. They never responded back to my calls. Then I personally went and requested to cancel my membership. They asked me to write a letter. I gave them a letter and I sent an email too. Then they replied saying they cancelled my membership. But still they charged my credit card for the next billing cycle. When I asked for the reason they said they already submitted for the payment and this will not happen again. I am totally dissatisfied. Also when you write a contact for one year, they will automatically extend the contract if you continue to use the club after an year without any notification. However their training staff are friendly and good people.
