A visit to the swimming pool turned out to be a complete disappointment. The promised oasis of relaxation was far from ideal. Let's start with overcrowding - the number of people per square meter of water clearly exceeded the permissible norms. It was impossible to swim, you had to maneuver between bodies, risking to get elbowed in the face. Hygiene left much to be desired. The water seemed murky, and the locker rooms and showers were unsanitary and smelly. The staff didn't seem too concerned about maintaining cleanliness.
Don't know anything about this spot just parked my car here to see a friend!
The pool was dirty. It was filled with hair and bugs. The lifeguards are young and they yell at you for any little thing. My 6 year old son was kicked by one of the lifeguards little brothers who was 11 and nothing was done about it. I will be filing a complaint about that.
Absolutely no reason the life guard who drives the Camaro to work should be speeding up and down Smyrna street. Stomping on it down the street and then returning and peeling off to show off. That child shouldn’t be allowed to drive to work.
Did not even know this gem was less than 10 minutes from my house and worked wonderfully for my grandsons remote control boat. Second time we took a broom to clean off the nice wide stairway to the water. Could not reach all the fish lines caught in the trees... LOL
This is a really nice pool. The girl in the front was awesome the day I went. If I can I would give her 5 stars but as for everything else, it was just a nightmare. I have a 8 Year old boy who has autism. And he kept getting overly excited and when he was flapping his hands he accidentally hit other kids which I apologize for and told him hands to himself. He loves the sprinklers but because he kept putting his little feet over one of the sprinklers they kept blowing the whistle at him and approaching after I’ve told them he autistic and non verbal. Finally I just couldn’t take it anymore. I felt bad cause I never have this problem anywhere else I go. This place is horrible definitely not autism friendly.
3 stars only because of the fact I went on a hot day and was relieved to swim. Excellent place to bring the family with the water park area away from the pool, not so great for bringing friends. Life guards are really picky. I got yelled at for climbing out of the pool without the use of the ladder/stairs while there were children not getting yelled at for clogging up the exits that I couldn't use. Not the end of the world.
It's a great pool, but the town only keeps it open about 7 or 8 weeks each summer. It gets closed only 2 weeks into August! The hottest time of the year. It is always crowded during the week days because the camps bring about 75 kids there each day. Plus it closes for like an hour in the middle of the afternoon each day for no reason. It's sad that the community cannot utilize this great resource more.
