Nice beach. People were polite
For years, when my kids were young (they're 20/16 now!)- we took them swimming here. It was always a great time & they had a lifeguard on duty most of the time also. Only problem is, the last few times we went, we were literally thrown out by town police telling us that this swimming area is for residents of the town only (West Brookfield)...they never cared before, or at least never enforced this silly rule. I think it's a little unfair, especially when it's a free public place more or less & there are very limited places to swim in the area (surrounding towns). Not everyone can afford a pool & many ponds are too nasty, so it's a shame they don't allow anyone from nearby. We literally lived the next town over & it was still an issue, so they actually made me & my children (who were very young at the time) leave the premises. Otherwise I'd give more stars...such a disappointment to ruin my kid's Summer. Transportation was also another reason why our options were so limited.
Love what they did to the beach looks amazing good job West Brookfield
The West Brookfield town beach is amazing it is currently for Town residents only but they are looking at expanding it to surrounding towns they have done a lot of work down there expanding the beach and keeping it clean everyday definitely the best beach around.
Calm, relaxing, very peaceful.
Why does there always have to be a snobby Karen with “I’m gonna call the cops” do it Karen…
A lot of nasty seaweed and there is never people swimming good for a boatride.
Beach and boat ramp are ok
