The Get Lively experience is always awesome! I do personal training for a knee injury and always get specialized modifications BUT even in larger class settings, I know I’ll get the modifications I need to get a good workout and safely push myself. I recently brought my 15 year old niece to a class and she said “That was better than like any exercise I’ve ever done in my life.” - she loved the TRX circuit and fast-paced HIIT class we took.
Jan has created a community where women cheer each other on and she is the chief cheerleader. Fitness is just one aspect of what she does. She also coaches women-owned small businesses, helps with family stuff, gives her members a community to interact with as well as a way to give back to the community at large, and more... on a regular basis. And for me, having access to this community, especially while I work alone at home, is so positive for my mental well being.
I finally found a fitness studio that fits my needs. It’s fun, affordable and offers a great variety of classes. The studio/ equipment is new, very clean and the instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating. I never get bored and have never been in such a good shape since joining. Not to mention, I never thought it was possible to have fun while working out! Another bonus is that there is an option to rent the space for private events. I recently invited 20 friends to a dance lesson for my birthday and it was a blast. Definitely check this studio out!
Jan’s Get Lively 30-day Challenge was exactly the motivation I needed to kick off the journey down a better pathway. Simple little changes like drinking more water and eating more veggies made a huge difference in my overall approach to healthier eating. The stretching videos and the various challenges were great. Plus, the ongoing accountability for doing healthier things was an effective motivator! Jan is so positive, enthusiastic and lively — and reasonable! Great program, and I look forward to continuing the relationship!
Jan is an excellent instructor, fun, caring, personal. She works well with folks beginning their fitness journey as well as those who are already in excellent shape. I have been attending her classes for three years, and have benefitted from her coaching program as well. She is simply the best.
Jan is the absolute best instructor/fitness coach that I have ever worked with! If you think you aren't a "gym person" - this is the place for you! After a long break from exercising during the pandemic, I was so hesitant to start again. The community at Get Lively made me feel so welcome from day one, and it is now a part of my weekly routine I can't live without. Thank you so much helping me to live a happier and healthier life!
I consider myself so lucky to have been introduced to Jan and her classes, through a friend, a number of years ago. What I love about Jan‘s classes is that she keeps things Interesting, and she keeps things moving… Though I have been in her classes for years, we never repeat the same exercise routine! Jan is friendly, upbeat and motivating and makes people of all levels of fitness feel comfortable in her classes. She helps with modifications with each exercise so that people of all can participate. Jan keeps the music pumping, and classes feel fun. I always feel great leaving Jan’s classes…both because of the work out I’ve just had, but also because of the warm, positive environment she creates in her classes.
I stopped working out for years and didn't know how to get back in it. I took one of Jan's classes with a friend (after a lot of convincing) and was instantly hooked! Jan is such positive energy that she makes her classes exciting and FUN! Her classes are hard enough that I'm sore for days after... but not too hard that I don't want to ever go back. It's the perfect balance. I now work out 3 times a week with Jan and I'm looking forward to her bumping up her class schedule!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's been a couple years since I started working out with Jan. I am now up to 4 times a week with her group classes. I've recently joined her "lifestyle" program. With this program Jan taught me the right way to implementing healthy eating into my lifestyle. I joined with about 20 other ladies and it was great to have Jan's insight along with the input from the other members. If you are looking for a fun and lively trainer, look no further. Jan continues to amaze me with her energy and new ideas!
