I specialize in teaching the classical Pilates lineage of Joseph Pilates through private, duet and group class instruction. I am capable of teaching both in person and remotely via ZOOM or FaceTime. I strive to support all body types including first time Pilates goers, athletes, folks recovering from injury or surgery, aging bodies, folks suffering from back or joint pain and pre/post-natal women to name a few. I work hard to create a safe space for you to learn and connect with your moving body and will facilitate goal setting to guide you along your Pilates path.

I started working with Jamie about a year ago when I came to her with a very weak, tired and achey postpartum body. Jamie's keen awareness for body mechanics and her positive calming energy has kept me coming back for more. She has taken the time to fully understand what is going on with my body (injuries etc), so that each workout is personalized to my specific needs and goals. She has always been able to make modifications for me when something does not feel right, so that I can continue with the exercise in a safe manner. I love my days when Drift pilates is in the mix- I love to go and hate to leave. I highly recommend Jamie if you’re looking for a fun and challenging pilates experience.

Jamie takes the time to establish rapport with you which I appreciate as she has never made me feel awkward or insecure. She takes the time to get to know you to help formulate a plan to fit your goals. When I had a pinched nerve, Jamie adjusted each workout to prevent further injury yet allow my body to learn to recuperate faster. Every class is fun and rewarding. If you asked me a few months ago, I would have never thought I would still be taking Pilates lessons, but it is so worth it with Jamie!

Drift Pilates is hands down one of the best Pilates studios around. The owner, Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable, motivational and thoughtful, taking the time to really get to know each client. She makes the class very personalized, taking into account personal injuries, short/long term goals, and other pertinent information. Within seconds of speaking to Jamie, you'll see just how experienced and well versed she is in teaching clients of all ranges. She takes the time to explain each exercise thoroughly, providing education on the reasoning behind each move and providing all the necessary modifications. If you're looking to get strong and lean, have a supportive studio/community, and really enjoy class then Drift Pilates is your new spot! Highly recommend!
