John H. Thomas Memorial Pool in Springfield

One star never going there again I went there at 4:30 and they were closed not like the pool was doing a check like closed for the day my kids were very mad I am never in my life going back. 🤬

Good pool great that it public but the life guard put in rules that aren’t posted I tried to bring noodle for my 3 year old cause she uses it in her swimming lessons and they said no floatation device but I see kids with no water toys allowed the. I look at the rules posted says nothing about can’t have any noodle or toys or anything . I ask if I can jump in not dive jump simple jump cause again the rules state no diving not no jumping in and which my daughter again is learning so one of the swimming activities she does in her lessons is jump off the edge and the teacher or my self catch her they wouldnt let her jump in the water a 3 year old. might need to either post all rules or hire new staff for life guard cause the kids r to young and r lazy so they r making rules that r not there so they can sit and do nothing and get free money like overall pool cleanness good not great scum around the whole edge of pool that needs to be scrubbed another reason showing the staff r lazy and out bare minimum effort to there jobs

I love this pool its like a mini beach you can bring your food music and enjoy your swim and its Free

I read it of what a time because there was one time that it was close because someone pooped in the pool. The staff are rude and I like to put itself but the staff need to work it up.

I enjoy coming here glad the city has a place for the kids to go everyone that works here are pleasant and helpful

I grew up in Springfield coming to this pool. Here on a visit and decided to bring my child to allow him to see the fun I use to have. The life gaurds definitely do their jobs. A little extra but I understand safety first. I want to thank Mr. Micheal in the blue shirt for being so hands on and pro active. There was a lot of weed smoking and the cop that was here today just sat in his chair. Whereas, Michael was informing them to smoke outside several times to many kids here for that. Micheal deserves recognition.

Nice place to go swimming people and staff are friendly but no food available you would have to bring your own snacks and stuff but it's really nice
