21 Park St, South Hadley, MA 01075, United States
Informal conference hotel offering free Wi-Fi & parking, plus access to a campus gym & indoor pool.
Rooms are immaculate, truly a great place to stay and visit the campus
I took a tour here to explore their options for hosting events. They have several different rooms available that would be perfect for anything from a wedding to a professional conference.
Was here for a reception. While I miss the snack bar and alcohol bar in the basement (a frequent hangout when I was a student), as a small conference center, it is excellent. The main room looks out over a stream and the greenhouse grounds. There are free phone chargers. The food was tasty and varied. Parking is tight. Students no longer hang out at Willits, which is a shame. I have not been in the hotel rooms, although I've dreamed of staying there since I was a student.
Outstanding hotel and conference center ON Mount Holyoke College (MHC) campus. Part of the college. May be fully booked during major college events, so plan accordingly. Conference Center style rooms, but you should be out visiting area if staying here. Set on truly magnificent Mount Holyoke College campus. Plenty to see and do there. Full service restaurant - make sure clear on schedule due to academic calendar. Great conference - meeting location. Great AV team and super helpful. Certainly lovely site for meeting, reception, etc. Very helpful staff. Great photos in interior hallways of historic MHC scenes.
The holiday brunches are consistently delicious. We've attended the Valentine's day and Christmas ones and the food has been exemplary everytime. The service is polite and quick, and there a large vareity of dishes. For example, today we had cornbread stuffed chicken breast, mustard marinated salmon w/pistachio dust, horseradish crusted roast beef, bacon, Maple sausage, scrambled eggs, feta and spinach eggs, Caeser salad, gingerbread French toast w/ vanilla frosting, cheese stuffed blintz w/ raspberry sauce, lobster corn chowder, chocolate spoon cake, mini cheesecakes, mini cupcakes, caramel apple pie, peanut butter pie, carrot cake, mini canolli, chocolate triple fudge cake, a table of juice options, and assorted fruit
Lovely accommodations and breakfast. I am an alum. My daughter is a prospective student participating in an admissions event. As an alum i am definitely planning on returning to Willetts as my lodging during my future visits to MHC and the Pioneer Valley in general.
On Sunday, June 24, 2018, I had my daughter's bridal shower at the Willits-Hallowell Conference Center in the Morrison Room. I am so happy that we chose this venue. First of all, Jennifer Marion, the assistant director of event services, was so wonderful to work with. She met with me twice during planning and answered my many emails and modification requests. On the day of the shower, I walked into the room and just stood there looking around the room saying "this is SO pretty". I brought some of my own decorations and she even got up on a ladder and put them up for me! What a super nice person she is! She didn't forget any of the details we discussed. The room was the perfect size and we felt like we were in our own world for those three hours, with windows lining one wall overlooking the water and our own private deck to walk out onto. The perfect backdrop for pictures. The food on the breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious and the staff was so kind and helpful. A bridal shower only comes along once in a lifetime (hopefully), so, thank you Jen and staff for making this day so special!
I rode into the Willits Hallowell Center in the evening via Google Maps on my phone, which took me through a range of old textile mills and other sites along the Connecticut River. The Center is on the Mt. Holyoke campus, across an old mill stream (complete with old dams and weirs) from the main campus. It's comparatively new, and while institutional in style it's been made very comfortable, with good beds, excellent wifi, and (very important when I was there!) really good central heating. The place is immaculately clean and the staff is friendly at all hours (and I saw staff over a good stretch of the night, thanks to my arrival/departure times). The only non-hotel aspect was the lack of an in-room coffee-maker, but this was replaced with a kitchenette with a professional-grade Keurig machine and all the coffee or tea, cups, and condiments you could want. Breakfast was full table service with a traditional menu, or they'd just make you something (and they did that quickly). ||||I was expecting the marginal on-campus hotel facilities I'd encountered at other colleges and universities that I've had to visit, but I was pleasantly surprised - Willits Hallowell was very nice, and very comfortable!
