Great day out golfing. Weather was beautiful and the course was in great shape. Greens were well tended. Course played wonderfully.
We were passing through town and decided to get a round in. This course is stunning with views of the mountains and well maintained greens etc. This was only out done by the two fighter jets that flew in formation just above the mountain in the distance 🇺🇸. We got stuck behind a very slow group and really needed a ranger to pick up the pace but didn't appear to have one on duty. This was my only negative or it would have been 5 stars!
Played early July '24 - During one of the hottest days of the year, the course was in fantastic condition. This was my first time playing here and I have to say, the conditions and course layout were both great surprises. This course design often asks you to land a shot...then dogleg your approach. I found myself using my 220y club off most par 4 tee boxes. The way-finding was good even though the course does have a lot of paths. I would recommend a cart, if you are doing 18, or at least a push cart if nothing else. There are some fantastic challenging holes that force you to stay patient. For those who only play 9 holes, the course does rotate the starting hole during league days so you might not always get the front or back. There is a driving range out front of the school building as you driving into the property. I did not use this, but it looks simple with turf pads and self service balls. There is a full bar and pub style food as well, both were good. For those looking to make a pilgrimage to the Ranch in Southwick, I would suggest adding this into the rotation. I would even argue Ledges has a better layout and better conditions all around.
What a great tournament and facility. It would have been a 5 but the place is packed 20 deep waiting for a beer and she’s also serving food . Seems like the bar manager could have done a much better job.
The course was in great shape. Always enjoy playing there. The sand traps were rock hard, but it did rain heavily the day before. Also, a slow group playing ahead of us . 4:35 min round too slow. Seems they have a group teeing off every 6 minutes. Should be 8 or 9. Small problems but should be addressed. Another great day at the Ledges.
Played there for the first time this year and we were so pleased with the condition of the course and greens. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.. from the starter, pro shop and restaurant! We booked our tee times on line with a hot deal, so $50 per person for 18 holes and cart was a good deal. The course doesn't look difficult on paper, but it offers a lot of interest for all levels of player. We will sure to be back, even though it's an hour from home in Connecticut!
First time playing golf at Ledges and I have to say I can't wait to go back. The track of the course was unique and very fun. Course was challenging but not too hard for the casual golfer, 4 sets of tees that fits any skill level. Considering I went in April in New England, the course was in GREAT shape. Absolutely going to go back when trees and other nature grown in, excited to see it in peak season.
It should not be surprising to learn this is one of the Safari Club's favorite stops on it 25 plus course schedule each season. The golf course is in EXCELLENT shape, the staff is OUTSTANDING and the food was absolutely FANTASTIC. At least that's the general consensus of opinion from the 130 Safari Club members that attended this event on Wednesday.
Stop calling my business and attempting to sell me advertising, called 4 times the last 2 weeks Im not interested
Love the Course, Great shape Friendly Staff through and through from the Course Pro, Course Supt. To all the wait Staff. Awesome to have Rick Leal at the helm!
It s a great place to run, hike or taking a walk they also have a house we re you can get a drink after a hard day of golfing. Also it s near a school and dog park and the sponsor south Hadley events. Overall pretty good golf course! Would come here to golf for a day.
Great Place to golf
The course is in great shape. Interesting layout with some very fun risk/reward decision holes. Looking forward to going back and making better decisions maybe. The price was right from a golf now deal.
I always enjoy a round at Ledges. The course is fun, and forces you to think strategically about how to approach each hole. Yhe course itself is usuallybin great shape, the clubhouse is nice, and the staff is helpful.
1. Slow pace of play with no ranger. 2. Should be called the swamp. This course is wet dont wear your favorite golf shoes. With a wet course means no carts on fairways. Which was like all of them. 3. Two water jugs through 18 holes kinda frustrating. The course was in great shape! Green as can be and good shape minus the water.
Beautiful course! Really enjoyed playing, starter got us out a few minutes early. Nice putting green.
The course is fun, but the greens are very difficult. The price is a bit high.
Great course! Front 9 is a little more forgiving than the back 9. The course was in fantastic condition! Great views of Mt. Tom, too.
Very nice course where a golfer will have opportunities to make pars without all the obstacles. And the rough was cut shorter than other courses. Ledges ground keepers do keep this course in great shape. My only negative was the price.
Greens and fairways are in excellent conditions. Come by and enjoy golf.
Course is in ok shape... definitely not worth the price... other nearby courses offer better conditions for almost half the price. The hospitality and service at the pro shop is disgusting... some guy Sean or Shawn is bottom line arrogant, disrespectful and definitely doesnt understand business or manners. If I owned that course, today would have been his last day. He certainly knows how to drive business away. I know none of 11 people I played with today, will be coming back there this year. Save money and especially time by not going there.
Perfectly conditions always a good round, as long as you have 5 plus hours to play
Great course, very nicely maintained. Views from the deck are beautiful. Good selection of beers for the 19th!
Still icy but great place to run your wigglebutt!
Course in great condition. Price is high for my liking
Golf was awesome. Food and service are excellent
One of the nicest golf course (public) in western mass consistently on the greens and fairways are lush love the course
Love the course, played here for years so i was confused when i was told id have to pay a penalty because my friend brought his son and we needed two carts. Guess not very family friendly? I was told $33 for a round and $17 for the cart ($50) but because i was alone my cart, i had a penalty of $12.50 and had to pay $29 for a cart($62.50) that if i played alone or was the 3rd in a 3some, would be $17($50). Doesnt make sense to me and will most likely have me choose another course in the future! I thought it was great my buddy brought his son to spend time/teach him the game but this rule I dont understand? How do I get a penalty/overcharged? Feel like i got gouged!
Beautiful course with breathtaking views and a super friendly staff.
The course is in great shape!
The GPS unit did not work in our cart. The geo-fencing in the other cart was super restrictive and would shut down cart. Greens were in good condition. It is a very short course with a lot of dog leg holes. Dont think it is worth the $50 weekend fee. Would not have played if I did not have a discount coupon.
Great work in keeping this place together. Fairways, tee boxes, greens in very good shape compared to some other local courses. Hats off to this staff
A great experience!
Pitch and putt...very quirky and poorly laid out but in good shape
im not sure why you would need to pay extra to use the gps they recently installed in the carts. they didnt think that one out too well.
The golf staff is top shelf. The course is in fine shape. However, it s a very quirky golf course with many blind shots. We played it from the tips (black tees) but found it played shorter than the 6,500 yards on the scorecard.
Played this course with the Safari Club on 8/15, and others times throughout the summer. Always enjoy this course, from the layout, to the greens, to the friendly staff. Rick Fleury does a great job there and is always so friendly and accommodating.
Wet course. Very wet. So wet, you end up with no carts allowed out or cart path only. Might as well plan on walking 18.
Not great, but with the dirico show golf pass going up to 36$ next year I ll pass, just too much for that course
Hilly. Too much for me. 20 hndcp.
New chef. Food is far improved.
The course is in pretty good shape, and the 19th hole has some good selections for food and drink.
Great course. Challenging yet friendly to women golfers and those with shorter game.
This golf course is always in great shape, a good place for golf.
Great lunch on the patio.
Great course, need some rangers out there. Need to tell golfers to fix ball marks on Greens.
Great day on the Links! Thanks!
Great golf course me and my two buddies love playing here.
Well maintained and friendly staff
Nice course.
Played this on 8/15 with the Safari Club. Course was in great condition. We were treated very well by the staff from the time we arrived until after golf in the grill room. Great value for the $$.
Love this place. Really great value! Awesome course and affordable.
Nice course. I wish it was dryer.
Nice course for the price
The layout is great and rather fun. The course is usually in fairly nice shape. Could use an upgrade of the 3rd hole Par 3. One of my favorite courses in the area.
Course in great shape staff very friendly and accommodating dining good as well
This is a very nice course that is kept up extremely well. Fairways and greens are awesome and the staff is supreme friendly. Highly recommended
Great course
Shot my best score here on 6/17/17. Shot a 77 from the white tees. So to say the least, I really like the course. Friendly golf pro, and the course was in great shape. Fantastic burgers too. Ill be back. Mike L. Clifton park N.Y.
Nice course but tell the other golfers to repair the ball marks on the gteens.
Very nice but challaging layout
In a word horrible. The course is poorly maintained. Friday PM they put out three adults and two kids in front of us. Stupid! It will be a cold day hell before we return. Play Westover instead.
Excellent! The course is in great shape.
Best course for the money
Nice course. I thought the greens were slow. Good course for all abilities. The food is very good and the beer is cold.
Very polite helpful and the Greens and fair ways are very nice and priced very reasonable
My son golfs in a junior interclub league. We go to several course and it is always well organized and all pros are very good with the kids. However Ledge had no pro to get the boys started or give the pairings. My husband and I had a beer on the deck while waiting for our son to finish up and there was a few families eating there whose children were running around playing tag, hide and seek and catch a baseball on the course. They were barefoot and were in and out of the building. Not sure if this is how they allow their members to act, however I was not impressed.
I played Golf course yesterday with the Safari Club and the course is in great shape. The fairways, tee boxes, bunkers and greens are all in fantastic shape. Afterwards, I ate in the dining room and had some exellent food. Great place to play golf and eat. Great people too.
Sweet deal , best greens and fairway in the area at a very fair price . Great layout and greater conditions, sweet views of Mt. Tom. Played the ledges with the Safari Golf Club , very professional staff they know how to treat people.
Great course, tough location. This is a great golf course. They have a very good bar and restaurant. The only weakness is bag service. If you use the bag drop, you may never see your clubs again. They need to figure out a way to get people on the course quicker and easier.
Beautiful course. Meticulously maintained...I would play it again!
Not what it used to be.
Course in very good shape
What a Crock of Lies Restaurant has just opened and the new man at the desk can not manage Play very well has a real shallow view of course management and the new Dollars to play are not worth it there are a lot of other courses in the area just as nice for better rates and they inforce golf rules as far as how long it takes to play a hole seems that they cater to the Leagues no matter how small the league maybe I have been playing there for about 7 years now and live in town we you to belong to the league on wednesday but as we got older it was not for us we did play there every Thursday until a few weeks ago we played 6 player 2 3 somes and we caught up to this league with about 12 players 3 - 4 somes that where clueless on player management or how long it takes to play a hole the other group of 3 joined us we played 6 players and still kept up with this group .We had explained to the Manger in Charge of our experience and He had told us that they are Catering to the Leagues this year what a joke !!! So 12 people are dictating how much this course will earn due to there slow play Im not an Golf course manager but it seems to me if there are 6 open holes in front of slow players the MANAGMENT should do something But i guess they are Catering to the Leagues someday they may figure it out but i doubt they will this year.
Fun course. Fairly hilly. Always a challenge
Incredible course and an incredible experience. Excellent staff all the way around make this one of the most enjoy courses to play in New England!
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Did I say Awesome?! Greens great, fairways nice and it was first week of November. Found this jewel this past summer. Plan on playing it a few times each year. Nice pub, too.
Course is in great condition. Play it often. Nice views. And newer club house.
Fantastic course.
Great course. Cant beat the price with the condition of the course
The course has a decent set up. The problem was that the gentleman at the pro-shop was extremely rude. He made my group feel like we were intruding because of the fact that we had purchased an outing on groupons. He made it seem like he felt that the course was better than that. Just an all around terrible experience.
Great coarse. Excellent greens. Unfortunately, a man behind us decided to take my Nike 3 wood home with him, after I left it on the tee of long par 3. Thieves are there, be careful.
