Hit or miss food. Garlic noodles great. General tso terrible. Decent burger.

Ordered the wings and the Korean chicken sandwich to go. What an awful choice. If you are looking to sick and get some days off work this is your go to. The chicken wings most were undercooked still pink inside, we got two flavors, the flavors weren t on the chicken itself they came separately which you can assume how bad that tasted. Then the sandwich, were they able to cook that properly? You guessed it nope. Pink on the inside. AVOID! STAY AWAY.

We were here for a family dinner. We had six people at our table. The dining room was very comfortable. Service was thoughtful and attentive. Food was amazing.I had the Diablo burger, which was cooked to order and spicy as requested.

HIGHLY recommend the smoked short rib tacos. They were fantastic. My wife also liked her fish tacos a lot.

Food is excellent! Wow were those the best quesadillas ive ever had! Apps are 5 stars let alone the meals. Keep up the great food!

Mediocre. Service at the bar was horrible. The food was good and atmosphere was blah. Not overly impressed but if you want casual decent food, I would go again. Just dont sit at the bar and expect good service..

It was the first time at the tavern. When we were seated about 5:30PM, the place was a madhouse with loud children carrying on. The noise continued throughout the two hours were were there. The onion soup was great, however, it quickly went downhill from there. I ordered the ruben. It was heavily greasy and the bread as somewhat burnt. I waited almost an hour for the server to come to the table and ask how things were going. I wanted to tell her about the sandwich disaster and refill my drink. I had to get another server to tell our server to come to the table. She finally arrived. I told her about the ruben. She asked if I wanted something else. It was late and the others in our party had eaten by then. She never refilled my drink. All in all it was a major disappointed. We will never return. Parking: Parking in the rear. Limited street parking.

My first experience there was good. The food came out quickly, hot, and was tasty. The servers are attentive and polite as well. Some negatives (for me) is the tight seating a loud atmosphere. It was very difficult to have a conversation. The other issue I had was the choice of entrees. It seems like they like to serve items that are hot or spicy. You have to be careful if youre someone who doesnt prefer these types of appetizers/entrees. That said, there is a lot to choose from. If you get the fish and chips, you wont be disappointed with the portion size or quality of fish/prep. Though, you wont have room for anything else if you clean your plate! I dont typically eat fried food, but Im glad I tried it. The fries were perfect. Crunchy outside, semi-soft inside. I never take fries home in a box. I did this time! Id go back if I was looking for fish and chips. But, the fact that theres a lot of hot and spicy on the menu, it doesnt leave me a lot of choices. In summary, good food, nice staff, and lots of menu options (especially if you like hotter/spicier foods). The only drawback IMHO is tight seating, menu leans hot, and loud atmosphere. I think outdoor seating (dependent on weather) would be preferable if youre looking to have conversation with your dinner. Oh, and according to someone I went to dinner with who used the facilities... they are impeccably clean! Thats always a plus, lol.

Weve been coming here for about a year. It seems the quality of the food has decreased over this time. I was there tonight for dinner and the food was really just OK. The Caesar salad was simply some chopped lettuce with shaved parm and croutons with the dressing on the side (in a plastic cup). The boneless wings were dry. The time it took from ordering the food to table was no more than 10 minutes. That says a whole lot. Service was great, but doesnt compensate for the food.

Went to have a drink with a friend and once my friend ordered, the waitress never came back. I had to flag down a different server about 15 or 20 minutes later to ask if I could order. When I finally ordered, it took quite a while to get my drink but it was tasty. However it was loud and so we decided to settle up and leave. I paid with a card and left my waitress a $2 on a $10 drink, but she obviously didnt think that was enough because when my payment came through my bank, I saw she added an extra dollar for herself. NOT COOL...

Party of six. We sat outside on a pleasant evening. Food was very good as was service. Certainly will be there again and happy to recommend it

The server here started stalking my wife and then texting her without me knowing, this was happening for months. When I found out I filed for divorce. I can not believe how uncomfortable this place makes me now.

tasty meals with a typical pub feel

We love Johnnys, the wife and I go for our date night, wait time is usually 10-30 minutes, has always been shorter than their given estimated wait. Food seems to have decreased in quality over past month for some reason. Usually great

Never been before to Johnnys bar and grill went for the first time for my brothers birthday, great place to spend an evening dinner with family or friends. They have a really good menu for everyone. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff.

Been here several times. Did not like the portabella sandwich. Boring and not much flavor. Fries also had no seasoning. They were busy so was hard to get attention of server. Was pretty disappointed.

Fantastic food, great menu and specials. Absolutely love their Thai salad with blackened salmon.

The Cuban sandwich and the sweet potato fries are amazing just like the drinks and the service is outstanding!! Love this place!! Vegetarian options: They have options for the vegetarian!

First of all I went there because I heard on the radio station that Johnnys bar and grill would be serving food from like the Hukilau restaurant. First of all the the waitress said that the wings were off the menu by 8:15 p.m. prices are overrated and their food is nothing more of a homemade style cooked in a Crock-Pot with parts of the rice still White, I ordered pork fried rice Golden fingers and so-called sticky beef ribs. Sorry to say nothing like the hukilau I dont know why they even allowed to announce such a famous name with misleading plates like that. I ordered the pork fried rice and it had no pork or eggs in it as they claim to serve. Luckily it was just me and not a date to try to impress even the gold fingers were undercooked due to their made up flower batter that turned golden before they were actually cooked.The ribs were the bomb but for Chinese food not good. I actually grew up eating food from the hukilau in Chicopee but that was not it especially with the overcharging menú. I ordered a drink upon reaching my table 2 minutes later the food was out without duck sauce I asked the waiter for some but she kept bypassing me to address the bigger table when I finally got her attention she told me to wait then she finally came waiting on other people then came back with the duck sauce that was also homemade. crazy that in Chinese food man nothing more than overrated charging of misleading food. The only thing real good in there was the sticky ribs and the corona beer. I believe I would have been better off going to the won- wok restaurant in Springfield. At least that you can really compare to the hukilau restaurant., For real . . . Dietary restrictions: They didnt offer any combination plates simply you just have to order everything in a large so dont try to come in by yourself because youll be leaving with a doggy bag bill to pay for just one person.

I love this restaurant! We had an amazing waitress named Jen! She was so kind and professional. She constantly checked in on us and had a beautiful smile! I wish more waitresses were like her!

Great service and a great meal. Loved the outside patio. My one complaint is that they serve Hunts ketchup instead of Heinz, which is an inferior brand with a weird taste. I couldn t use it on my fries. Luckily, the fries were so good that they didn t need ketchup.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Very nice staff. We come 2x per week. One area for improvement please have a policy in place that if someone is yelling or shrieking and it goes in for more than a minute management should ask the table to bring the child outside. This is inconsiderate to everyone trying to relax and enjoy a meal. This is the 4th or 5th time in several months. To do nothing condones the behavior. You are not valuing other customers when you allow this to happen. It s unfortunate but I ll be going to IYA or the boathouse moving forward. I want to continue supporting the Bean Group but no more Johnnys.

Order Salt and Pepper wings! Not what I got when I got home. This was phone order! The lack of paying attention to detail is unbelievable nowadays. And people still have jobs. I wish I could do that at my job and to say the heck with it. Finally spoke to the manage,. wanted to give me a dollar off because they werent Salt and Pepper wings. Give me a break!!! Offered to make me another order but Im not driving 20 minutes back for something that you made a mistake on! . Customer service is a thing of the past. Probably what I said to the manager will fall on deaf ears. This is not the first time was in the restaurant 2 months ago order the same thing and came not what I ordered!

Out of towers looking for a good dinner and we got it. Our server Grace was delightful. Dined outside on the patio as it was noisy inside. Good Bloody Marys and even tho Our pizza was loaded, it came crisp and hot.

We went to Johnnys yesterday for dinner with a couple we havent been out with for a year plus. The waitress was great. I ordered fish and chips. The fish batter was actually black in sections when I received it. One piece of fish was so hard I couldnt chew it , it was burnt. The other piece of fish was almost the same. How could someone prepare this fish and let it go to a customer???. Theres no way the cook could not have known it was going to be awful . When you dont get out much and your looking forward to going out with friends its disappointing when you get food like this. I kind of feel very few people care about the quality of work they do and supervisors seem not to care either. The waitress seeing I didnt eat any of my meal asked what was wrong? She could see the fish was awful and did not charge me. That was great but what about the cook that prepared the food? What about my experience? The restaurant lost money, we wont go back anytime soon and of course Ill be telling friends and family about the awful food I received. The cook goes home and he/ she doesnt care. We need to demand a great work ethic in all businesses.

Absolutely and plainly bad. Food is not good, neither is the service. Waitstaff was straight up rude when we arrived, and seemed almost angry during ordering. Took a half hour even for appetizers to come out, with no explanation. The food itself also wasnt good. Medium-well burger was hockey puck dry, beef stew was served half-spilled out of the bowl, fries were both overcooked AND cold, which actually takes some skill to even achieve. Absolutely no reason to come here.

Johnnys is always a great and solid local option. Super friendly staff and reliably good food. I wish they had a few more vegetarian options, but whattyagonnado.

The atmosphere is great and the drinks were too! But unfortunately there are no vegan options outside of the salad section. They have one fryer for everything, so meat and dairy cross-contamination turns vegetarian options into non-vegetarian options. The staff was helpful in trying to find an option which I was grateful for! They were able to bake brussel sprouts rather than fry them for me. I can t speak for other dietary restrictions, but if you are vegan/vegetarian I would recommend finding a different spot unless you re looking for salad or drinks only, or if the cross-contamination in fryers doesnt hinder you!

Been in the food in beverage industry as a bartender for over 20 years. I asked for a spicy margarita with no cilantro. There was green cilantro floating on the top of my margarita. I said excuse me would you just mind making one of these with no cilantr she snapped at me and said I did. I said oh whats this green stuff floating on the top of my drink then...?! she continued to belittle me and tell me I was wrong. Needless to say I got up and walked out of the restaurant because of the blonde headed young girls attitude... very disappointed with her unprofessionalism. The British man who I usually always have when I come back to visit family quickly chimed in and apologized for her behavior which saved the situation I really appreciated him and the care he showed our party because he overheard the whole thing and knew she was in the wrong. Thank you for that my man. If Theres a short blonde headed girl working at the bar run shes the worst bartender Ive ever seen in my entire life. And has zero respect for other people which its called the hospitality industry for a reason. Johnny you should consider firing this girl thats how bad it was Id love to come in and talk to you about it.

Had dinner here on a weeknight. Steak tips were very tender and cooked as ordered, sauce was flavorful. Noodles were a little lacking in flavor, but overall it was a good meal. French Onion soup, which I had read good things about, was the big disappointment. Almost no flavor at all, almost like onion tea? Service was extraordinary, Arthur I believe? Seemed our section needed more staff, but he handled it marvelously. Very friendly if a bit over worked that night.

Large, very nice spot, can hold a large fan crowd. Food, although typical pub menue, taste was better than most! Kudos! Can a place SEEM more inviting to some, than others? I would do whatever it takes to eliminate the question. Food : 4/5

Wife and I ordered fish and chips, the fish was almost absent and was way over breaded to make it look like large pieces. My wife s was burnt. Our guests said their food was rather bland. I ordered a quesadilla for take out. It took over 30 minutes for them to make 1 quesadilla and they were not at all busy. It was 4pm, so not dinner rush time. Several staff were standing around doing nothing, and there were only a few tables occupied, so it was not due to them being busy. Also, they do not sell beverages for take out, which is ridiculous. Who wants a meal with no drink? And when I asked about it they told me go to their taproom next door for the drink, which was closed so not an option. And I should not have to go to 2 different places just to get a quesadilla and a soda. The quesadilla was just ok. The tortilla tasted like it was stale or had been cooked in dirty oil or something. I will not eat here again.

The service was good, food was as well, a bit loud place when busy... However , the photo included is what we experienced waiting for the table. This is a window in the waiting area across from the bench we sat, debriefs, dust, spiderwebs, waiting and thinking if the kitchen looks any like this, do i want to eat here? Kind of disappointed that a food place is should be inspected by BoH and kept up to standard to serve food. For safety reasons and pleasing experience of customers.

My girl and I wanted some great food on a cold rainy night and were delighted when we came across Johnnys Bar & Grill. What we got was exceptional food with steller customer service and fair menu prices. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with a tone of history on the walls to admire. Its the small things. We ordered our food and in no time we had drinks, apitizer followed by the main course. The Irish nachos were made fresh and came out hot with melty cheese sour cream and chives with Bacon. It was huge and absolutely delicious. The mushroom burger with truffle aoli was out of this world. Nice big juicy burger cooked perfect and had all the flavor you could ask for. The sweet potato fries with the maple mayo should be a crime it tastes so so good. Seriously you have to try these. I Had the fresh roast beef sandwich with au jus with hot onion rings with French onion soup better than grandma could make. So in summery you should absolutely make a date night and come out to a foodys dream restaurant. Youll be glad you did!

The bald man working at 4:30pm on Sunday was bullying his coworker at the bar in front of customers, we will not be returning if he s on shift.

Arthur was a great server with a top notch personality. Great selections! All 8 of us were happy with our choices. Busy but with a very family fun atmosphere. Well be back!

This is a great place to gather with friends. Low key, no pressure very friendly staff. Met a friend we had not seen in a year. We lingered before ordering, and long after the meal. Very leisurely, so we were able to catch up. My Burger was grilled perfectly, a nice medium rare. The French onion soup was very good, but the bread could have been smaller, as it soaked up most of the soup.

First time here, was just looking for something fast to grab. Ordered a simple large cheese pizza, that was cooked to perfection. The pizza sauce was perfect, it was just right, good flavor and not to sweet like some pizza sauces. Thumbs up thanks for keeping it simple.

Salads were made perfectly and so were the scallops and shrimp. Even though I stuck to classics they were made in a way that was fresh and exciting. Even managed to make a mocktail I had three states over a few years ago perfectly.

Service was great, food was very good, but the drinks were terrible. 1 soda was described as watered down after a sip, no vermouth in 2 martinis, yet charged extra for 2nd. alcoholic beverage supposedly added to them. One person who can usually only handle 1 drink, actually had 2 lg. drinks, & was as sober leaving as when she arrived. Another person also stated she couldnt taste any alcohol, & she rarely drinks so she was looking forward to it. The only drinks were 2 beers which would be difficult to dilute that had no complaints about them.

Johnnys is a great spot in town with something for everyone on the menu. The pizza is always a good choice. I had the steak tips and it was not the best choice. They have added a heavy sauce to them which was just too much. If you like seafood, go with the shrimp and scallops over pineapple fried rice.

For a first time goer, the experience was amazing. Quick seating to my table and very friendly waitresses/hostess. Food came out super quick and tasted awesome. And for dinner for two, the price was pretty reasonable. Will definitely go back again and will definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Its ok. Due to the supplier, this place does not have all their food. I.e. chicken wings on the bone. The food is between traditional pub food and upscale restrauant food.

I took my wife out for lunch and I dont believe I got my moneys worth for the money I paid. The service was very good but unfortunately the food was not. My wife ordered fish tacos with the house chip and chipotle sauce on the side. The fish only filled half of each taco and never gave the chipotle sauce. I ordered the steak and cheese with a side of onion rings. The sandwich was meh and fatty and I could squeeze the oil out of the onion rings. They also didnt give me the ketchup I asked for on the side. We will not be going back again and wouldnt recommend others to go either.

All 4 of our meals were delicious, (burgers & pizza), boneless wing appetizer was great, blue cheese dressing excellent. Cant wait to return to try more menu items. Our waitress was attentive and personable.

He can make the grumpiest person crack a smile I am sure of it! The food was okay. Not bad but not worth getting again. The fried pickles were delicious and the fries were good. The french onion soup has a giant piece of Rye bread in it. The taste is cooked into the soup too so taking the rye bread crouton out doesnt help. The fish tacos have barely any meat in them, instead theyre filled with lots of raw onion. The shells for the tacos are also stale to taste. The chicken strips are also VERY low quality. Theyre full of tendons and hard to chew theoigh most of them. We will try it again to try something different but other than our waiter, or first time experience was a bit rough for such a beautiful and hyped up place.

Ordered the fish sandwich to go and it was expensive for something that was C+. It s kind of hit or miss here. Everyone who works at Johnny s is amazing, though. However, It s real Boomer food (microwaved, lukewarm, thrown together) which is why I think they d risk catching Covid to sit inside for mediocre American dining.

We were very pleasantly surprised. Not knowing what to expect when you hear the words bar and grille this definitely worth the stop. Upscale pub food and delicious. I had a cali club on grilled sourdough and my friend had a burger. Fries were addictive; you have been warned. Free parking lot in the back. 25 mins from Yankee candle factory if that is a stop for you.

Had a great meal at Johnnys. Korean tacos were new to me, and I loved them. Had the fried dill pickle app with the Chipotle dipping sauce. Staff was really terrific and the atmosphere there is great.

Johnnys menu has something for everyone without being overwhelming. Delicious meal-sized healthy salads, basic and unexpected pizza options with regular or cauliflower crust, big, juicy burgers and fries, steak tips with garlic noodles, and basics like fish and chips, or chicken salad wraps. The beer and wine list pairs well with the menu selections and changes seasonally just like some of the food options. The staff is efficient and friendly, the kitchen is NEVER slow, and the manager and quite often the owner are there making sure every customer is well taken care of. The only down-side is that the open concept and high ceiling in part of the dining room can make it loud in there and difficult to have a conversation in busy times, but the food is so good, you wont care.

Wonderful as usual! Food is delish, atmosphere is friendly! They never disappoint! We just love Courtney the bartender to pieces, she never forgets our usual drink, she is very friendly and sociable!

Best place in town. Weve tried most of the menu and havent been disappointed yet. Good beers on rotation but change regularly. Not a ton of options but the ones they have are solid.

The Diablo burger is great like always. They also make a great house margarita I would recommend Johnnys to anyone that enjoys good food and drinks!

My husband and I came here tonight and it was amazing. I called ahead for reservations bc of CV-19 and they were able to accommodate us for a 530 reservation. Arthur is one of the best waiters we have ever had. He was so on point and hilarious. Food was absolutely amazing and nothing was bad. We will definitely be back very soon!! Bought a house salad and sweet potato fries from them and the house salad was served with stale bread not croutons and the sweet potato fries were basically raw and barely even cooked! Definitely last time I will get food from them!!!!

On weekends call and make reservations! Place was clean, all staff wore masks, lots of out door dinning, lots of people eat here it seems like the place to be!!! Food was great and drinks were too!
