I have been a member of Lifted Fitness for almost 4 years now and it has been by the far the best gym I’ve been to in Boston (or anywhere really). The owners, Pat and Mo, have created such a welcoming, safe, unpretentious and fun space for everyone who works out there. They know everyone by their name and take the time to say hi to you individually when you walk through those doors. It’s the little things that go a long way! Beyond that, they have created a safe environment for me to explore and learn more about strength training. I had dabbled in it before but I really needed someone to correct my form and make sure I was doing the movements the right way. Pat and Mo and the other trainers on staff have helped me learn the right techniques and exercises to build the strength in my body that I was looking to achieve. I truly look forward to each class I attend - for the workout itself and for the people and community that are also there. If you’re in the Boston area and looking to try out strength training and conditioning classes, Lifted is 100% the place to go. You will not be disappointed!

Moved to Southie over a year ago and joined Lifted after the first class I tried there. Pat and Mo are incredible coaches and individuals who continuously motivated and supported me in every class I went to. Highly recommend this gym to anyone new to the area, any college athlete looking to continue lifting at a high level and also anyone who is just beginning their fitness journey. I’ll miss this place! I can't say enough good things about Lifted! As a women who has always been on the smaller side (I'm only 5'0"), I struggled to achieve that toned look I wanted, especially leading up to my wedding this fall. After trying countless workouts that focused heavily on intense cardio or conversely on small weight movements, I finally found results at Lifted. From day one, I was welcomed by Mo and Pat, whose encouragement and expertise kept me motivated. They helped me understand the power of strength training and pushed me to lift heavier weights. The atmosphere at Lifted is fantastic. It’s not your typical workout class; there are no microphones or forced group workouts. Instead, you get the feel of personal training in a supportive group setting. You can go at your own pace, which is perfect for anyone who wants to focus on their own progress without the pressure of a traditional class environment. On my wedding day, I felt absolutely amazing, and I truly credit my results to consistently going to Lifted. I can’t imagine leaving Southie because of this place!!

This gym changed my life. I walked into this gym almost 4 years ago. Two shoulder surgeries, no confidence, and no strength. I couldn’t believe I mustered up the courage to show up. My first session was a personal training with Mo, and the rest was history. After a few months, I finally built enough strength (and confidence) to try the group strength classes. Each strength class truly morphed me into the person I am today. It taught me discipline. For 4 years, I saw Mo every Thursday and went to atleast 3 plus classes a week (over 500 classes) where I met Pat. Pat makes everyone feel like family, and will always go out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable whether it is a new excerise they introduce or building up the courage to go heavier in weights. There was never a time that I felt intimidated being here. That is the type of energy this place brings. I met so many great people and Pat and Mo became family. I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for me as an individual. If you are on the fence about joining this gym (or any gym in particular) take this as your sign to sign up. You will not regret it. I recently moved to New York and I can say without a doubt this was my hardest goodbye. I’ll be back.

Lifted is the best gym I’ve ever been to. Pat and Mo do an amazing job making you feel comfortable while still encouraging you to push yourself and making sure your form is correct. I’ve been going here for 3 years and look forward to class every time. The music and atmosphere are unmatched, and they know all of their clients by name. I’d recommend this gym to anyone!!

Such a motivating atmosphere! Happy to have found this gym a couple of years ago in Southie and sad to leave it as I move away from the area. The instructors are great at giving personalized attention to your form so it feels like a personal training session in a group setting. The strength classes are set in 4 week strength cycles so you are progressively challenged and never bored. I learned a lot and got so much stronger during my time here. The owners are awesome humans that truly care about their clients!!

Started going to Lifted Fitness in Boston in 2015 and haven’t stopped! It is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to. The instructors are knowledgeable and welcoming. Whether I’m in shape or recovering from an injury, lifted fitness has helped me get a good workout in. Once you try it, you’ll be hooked! Can’t wait for lifted SS!

After Boston Athletic Club closed down for Covid (and never reopened…?) I decided to try Lifted Fitness, thinking I’d only be there for a month or two. Ended up staying for 8 months and only left because I was moving to CA, and I wish this gym could’ve come with me. So many positive things to say about this gym: •Pat and Mo are some of the best guys, they take time to get to know all the members •The circuit style of classes was different from what I was used to, but challenging in the best way. 40 minutes and DONE •Accommodating based on skill level or if you have injuries - trainers are always happy to suggest an alternative exercise Overall, 10/10, 5 stars, whatever you need to get you to try this gym.
