Anytime Fitness in Somers

Thanks to Somers Anytime Fitness, I've been able to crush one goal after another! I joined this gym in June 2024, and thanks to their coaching services, I have lost over 40 lbs and gained 8 lbs of muscle mass! I can't believe how far I've come thanks to them, and I highly recommend their services to anyone stuck doing the same routine. You can absolutely change your habits, and it all starts with one step: Setting up an appointment and making the best choices for yourself to become a healthier version of you! :)

Good gym if you want to be surrounded by a bunch of clowns. Go to anytime fitness Manchester if you want some real kind people.

Do not get a membership to this gym!! They will scam you if you try to cancel your membership! I cancelled my membership 2 months ago and I am still having money taken out and just recently had over $102 purchase taken out of my account from this gym. This gym is not clean at all, the bathrooms are never clean and the guy at the front desk is rude. Not worth the $60 a month at all.

I've been coming to the Somers gym since early 2019. I love the atmosphere, the clients are fun, the staff is amazing and super helpful! I started out coming twice a week, I'm here 7 days now and Absolutely love it!!! J and Devin are the BEST!!!!

Great gym! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable! The environment is clean and welcoming. Would definitely make this my home gym, if not for the fact that I live in Florida! Will be going back anytime I’m in the area!!

This is literally my first time taking the time to write a review of a business, but because of the degree of poor service I've experienced here, I feel as though you should be warned to NOT signup for gym membership here. I've been going to Anytime for 3 years, and the Somers location for the last two. I had no issues with the gym or staff for the first year however, somewhere around a year or so ago things just changed. The gym started to become noticeably dirtier, the wifi not working became more of a regular thing, and J the manager come to find out is rude and unprofessional. I tried to cancel my membership. What should've been an easy task turned into a three week ordeal. I tried calling calling multiple times with no answer. I sent multiple emails with no answer. I attempted to speak with staff in person during "staffed hours" and there was no one there. When I finally did manage to speak to someone, J was again rude and dismissive. Due to the fact it took so long to talk to someone, they are getting an extra payment out of me, which I'm sure was his goal to begin with. So again, do yourself a favor and sign up with a different gym. If you're dead set on joining an Anytime however, I would suggest looking at the club information on the Anytime website and picking a location with different management.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I don't normally like to do this but after what I have dealt with at this gym I feel I need to make others aware before they go and waste their time and money. I signed up for a membership at Anytime Fitness at the Somers, CT location last April. At first, they made it seem like it was amazing, but very soon after I realized it was the complete opposite. The membership is $60 a month, plus like $80-90 which you pay in the beginning for your "key" to get in. I thought it was worth it because the gym was close by and was open 24 hours which is very convenient. It's not worth it at all! In the first few months of going there, I noticed they do not answer their calls, they are never there during "staffed hours", and the gym is disgusting. They also charge you a $75 "club enhancement fee". I called and questioned about it to which I got no call back, but an email from Joshua Vescovi. He didn't even have the decency to just give me a phone call back and instead took to emailing me. All he said was it was the "club enhancement fee", which I could not comprehend at all based on how nothing in the gym had changed or been upgraded. In fact, it looked ten times worse than it did when I first got my membership. I emailed him back and explained my dissatisfaction as the gym had a broken/shattered mirror that had not been fixed for months and was a safety hazard, plastic bottles left everywhere, and in general, dirty and dusty. It truly looks as if they do not clean it ever. He replied, apologizing that I felt that way and claimed they work hard to keep it clean. I let it go and moved on. Fast forward to now, I have been wanting to cancel my membership for a few months. I've reached out several times through phone calls and left voicemails, emailed, and even went there physically during staffed hours to try to get in touch with someone. Nothing. I have not heard back in weeks. My year contract is almost up so I am trying to get them to not renew my membership yet I can't get in touch with a single person. They run this business horribly! I am so upset I ever signed up for this membership and I have heard SEVERAL other people complain about these same things. The gym is not worth what you pay for AT ALL, not to mention the "club enhancement fee" when the equipment and the gym in general has not been updated or cleaned in ages as you can see from the pictures I have attached. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP OR WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. *FYI* The picture of the broken mirror is from a second time when they had a shattered mirror. The first time they did they did not put any sort of tape over it and just left it the way it was for months.
