Well worth the hour drive! The drive itself is amazing. The last 20-25 mins is all country/farms and forest. The beach is staffed with lifeguards, very clean. They have a separate roped off lap area as well as a kiddie area separate from the rest of the beach. It is handicap accessible, I saw a floatation wheeler there ready to go. The water and beach are profoundly clean! There are bathrooms and a sitting area with picnic tables in the shade off the beach. Non smoking beach
Nice small public beach. We went on a Tuesday at noon very few people. Clean bathrooms.
Yea, I gave it a 5 which is rare... Very pretty scenery, tucked away in some mountain. Clean and calm lake with very friendly visitors and locales mostly. The park staff are also friendly and helpful. Gates close at 7pm and access os free with ample free parking... You can come with your picnic mats and food and plan to take a deep in the lake too!
Opens 9 to 7 and it's such a beautiful place ❤️
It's a nice beach but was too crowded when we went. So, wouldn't be a great place if you are looking for someplace quite. I could barely take a photo without people entering the frame. If you do decide to go there is free car parking just in front of the beach area.
Love this lake! So clean and easy access to the bathrooms.
Beautiful lush dense hiking trails nice beach and picnic areas
A beautiful lake in the middle of no where! We (me & 2 boys) traveled 40 minutes west, and were not disappointed. The water was so clean and clear, the beach area was also clean, no trash, or loud music, no smoking, no loud people swearing, or yelling. (This I find at many small lakes/state parks). The view was beautiful, peaceful, and just had a great environment. I noticed a lot of young families in the early mid-day, and an older generation after 3:00. They were also very friendly. The lake has a huge beach front, and is sectioned in different areas. One huge side for those who came for camp. On the other side of the ropes a very large section for others. They even rope off lanes for those who want to do laps. I haven't seen this before but think it is a great addition!! A place to go fishing as well is provided. The lifeguards actually pay attention to what is going on and not on the phone (I see too much). Parking is across the street from the lake, it is $8 for MA resident 10 for non. The bathrooms were clean, and had supplies. Handicap parking is located by the bathrooms, a working water bubbler is outside the bathrooms.
