24 Hour Fitness in Pelham

I used to like this gym a lot. But the manager is not a person raised with a lot of empathy. She reminds me of a person who is happy with how much they pay her and does just enough not to get fired. They used to have a great boxing bag they hung for the members. And because some old boxing gym guys sold them on a boxing fitness membership and a ring, they refuse to fix the old bag or buy a new one. On Facebook marketplace they sell used bags for $40. But the manager in this location is driven by greed and nothing else. Who wants to buy a package for boxing fitness when there was already a perfectly good punching bag for free? According to the manager why should they buy a bag when they already offer the new boxing fitness gym and facilities? But right there she reveals her motivation

The gym is great for a good workout and the staff are very friendly as well as helpful. Greg Vega is definitely the best in taking care of the customers care as well as concerns. Any problems I may encounter in regard to my account he is always helpful. It’s even better because I have his personal contact number..

I have been a member of this gym since they open. My membership is taken out yearly. This is the first time I think I may cancel. I will explain. There is now a manager by the name of JASMIN GARCIA that has single handedly taken the climate of the gym from chill, smooth and respectful, to a LIVING HELL. I normally don’t write reviews. But I had today. Yesterday while at the gym I had an encounter with a manager name Jasmin Garcia. The way how she was disrespecting persons in the studio and spoke down to people. I asked her to be respectful. She then started shouting at me. I ask for her name when I went to the front desk to complain I was told she was the manager and that she and the GM is close so it make no sense. When I was leaving the gym she was at the front desk. And the disrespect continued while she thought I had my earphones on and couldn’t hear her. I’m not sure how Jasmin works in a professional environment with her demeanor. Most people go to the gym as therapy, how is she good for someone’s mental health?

The gym is good place, recently the cleanliness has been lacking, unsure why. Gregg the manager is friendly and responsive. I had personal coaching, inperson Micheal is good but does not provide the 30 day plan and have to continuously text for a plan that he provides for 3 days a week. Overall it is a supportive environment. The classes are amazing, huge variety of classes and teachers, wish they had some earlier in the morning. Some teachers are more attentive than others but good.

I’ve been coming here pretty consistently for the past month or so - it’s astounding how many of the machines don’t work properly. Every single one of the ellipticals have error codes and get stuck on certain inclines. I will say though that the staff is very nice and friendly. However, this gym location has customers that don’t really respect the gym. I never see anyone clean their machines after a workout, and there are always people taking up space on the machines while not using them. Lots of people always filming their workouts and the gym seems to allow this. The cleanliness of the gym is inconsistent, sometimes I go in the morning and there won’t be any toilet paper at 9 AM. Last time I used the pool there were these tiny weird bugs in the showers, haven’t used the pool since. I feel like I can get the job done here but this gym should be maintained better for the price of the membership

I went to check it out on a day pass since I just moved into town and need a gym. The front desk guys were really nice. But the hang up here for me is that when they went to give me a tour I was immediately hit with garbage strewn across the floor and overflowing trash cans. If I was a salesperson at a gym I would be so embarrassed to give someone a tour with my gym looking like that. None of the squat racks had clips for the barbells luckily I brought my own. And the gym is way too bright. I’ll be honest I did not look at the reviews prior to checking it out, though I wish I had. I’m a personal trainer and my mother has a housekeeping business so I have very high standards for cleanliness but I feel like having a cleaning crew on staff is the bare minimum.

I was looking to join a gym as part of my life extension program and a friend recommended 24 Hour Fitness. My health insurance included Silver Sneakers so I was able to join at no cost. The staff are all very professional, and people friendly. The facility is very extensive and features every fitness machine imaginable to tone, strengthen and stretch. On my first day I attended a one-hour Silver Sneakers and it was brutal. I think was the only male in the room and I barely kept pace with the class. I went into the session with a sore lower back but after a hot Epsom salt bath that afternoon I was ready to take on the water aerobics class the next day, it too was challenging. I love the facility and the fact Dave and Busters is just a few feet away so you can take in some hot wings or ribs to help recover from your workout. In addition to the plethora of fitness equipment, the gym features two lap pools, a jacuzzi, showers, sauna and steam room to sweat out toxins. All and all, I love the facility and look forward to achieving my fitness goals. If you are a Silver Sneakers member, I highly recommend this gym. It is well maintained and the staff is eager to help. Shout out to Eve at the reception desk.
