Welcome to Thornes! Whether it’s your 100th time visiting or your first, Thornes will surprise and delight you with unique offerings, delicious bites, and exquisite architecture. Located on the vibrant, lively main street of downtown Northampton, this historic commercial building is home to an array of independent, locally-owned retailers and restaurants—some of which have thrived in Thornes for 40 plus years. While it has evolved, expanded, and changed owners several times since the building’s construction in 1873, its commitment to locals and out-of-town visitors alike remains constant.
I love this place simply because on the second floor they have a crystal store (the vibe to this store felt so awesome, very welcoming, and at peace) and other items that I get intriguing in the basement area they have the arcade and this other very interesting store that have a lot spiritual idea
Rich wood tones. Many local small shops for eating, drinking and home goods. Several floors of goodness! Plus parking garage is connected next door. Come during December for holiday displays.
Sophisticated Good place to spend time with family, friends, lovers or anyone lol Good restaurant there and now Arcade Game❤️
It is really cool and it’s like a mini mall of Northampton! Paul and Elizabeth’s restraint is really good! They have amazing pasta. There is an arcade opening this weekend! I recommend it.
This was the worst. My first time going to this place it was nice but I got kicked out instantly . Basically I need to use the bathroom and so did my friends so we went in and it looked nice but when we got into the bathroom the employees said that we stole something. They also started swearing and saying racist stuff to my friend.
I've been going to this place my whole life and it's always been a nice mix of boutiques and shops. Unfortunately a few shops have moved or closed and now it feels half-empty. Hopefully they will find some new merchants to occupy these spaces. There are still some nice businesses attached to Thornes like the book shop, cornucopia, herrald's ice cream and Paul and Elizabeth's. However, I will note that this place has always been on the trendy pricier side of things so just keep that in mind.
Great shpping mall in the heart of Northampton wide a wide assortment of stores.
Thorne's Marketplace is one of my favorite places to shop! It has unique boutiques, interesting shops with lots of fun gifts. Salespeople are kind and knowledgeable. You can shop, grab a quick cup of coffee as well as dinner at Cornucopia! I highly recommend Thorns
