CareOne has developed a reputation as a premier health care company and assisted living community due to our commitment to best clinical practices, strong management standards and resident quality of life.
My Mother is 96 years old. I was taking care of her single handedly for over 12 years. About two years ago watching her health decline and fearing that if something happened to me, with my family faraway, I would have to have the Plan B. I started visiting nursing homes in the area. There are quite few around Northampton Mass. But CARE ONE is the ONLY PLACE that really feels LIKE HOME!!! My Mom is there since last December, my family and I couldn’t be happier! Warm, bright, welcoming and beautiful facilities with gleaming wood floors, outdoor decks and dining rooms. Excellent Nursing team, dedicated staff, caring and helpful administration. We greatly appreciate all your help, continuing support and giving us a piece of mind THANK YOU, Care One!!!!!!
The only negative was the social worker who refused to share information regarding my father, as the 2nd health proxy for my dad I deserved to hear information. He was condescending, rude and dismissed me as if I was not worthy to hear about my father. The staff, nurses, CNA’s and other staff were outstanding, they were empathetic to our needs and addressed my dad’s needs. I would recommend your establishment to others.
My wife was transferred there from UMASS from a fall 10 broken ribs, broken arm, three broken vertebrae when she got there she waited hours for her pain meds. I called the front desk to speak to a nurse her nurse I got to speak to immediately started coming up with excuses why she couldn’t take care of her. She said to me I can’t take care of her if I have to talk to you who says that I read more reviews and they are not good. I’m going to transfer my wife out of this place. You know being nice to anybody doesn’t cost you any money and it reflects on who you are as a person. If you can’t be nice and cordial to people, then you’re in the wrong job. You’ll notice on the reviews when there’s a bad one you’ll see a good one a bad one. You’ll see a good one. What’s that? Tell you the reviews aren’t real???
I’m writing this on behalf of my wife of 61 years. I never saw a more perfect place where everyone works as a team in times of emergency and around the clock with needs designed for each individual patient. That teamwork between nurses to physical therapists occupational therapists to those who do so much serving and cleaning, bringing the food, helping patients that can’t eat by themselves, doing vital signs, administering medicines, and all those from their offices who help orchestrate the responsibilities; all respond to emergencies regardless of their occupation helping one another as needed. Problems from insurance refusing to pay were handled by professionals who resolved the problems. Care One in Northampton has the cleanest bathrooms and patient rooms. The food is excellent and tailored to everyone’s particular diet verified by the dietitians. Everyone is treated with the best of care and not one person showed slack in their duties always assuring patients that pressing the nurse call button was okay. There were no extended wait times after pressing the nurse call button. Everyone expressed liking what they do. As it turns out my wife is going to hospice care, that too handled by experts in their field with little stress on spouses such as me. Transitioning to hospice was easy because the forms to fill out was handled by competent, knowledgeable people who know what they’re doing. It’s not difficult to see where I want to be should I need rehabilitation or long term care. That would indeed be Care One in Northampton. What will I miss? Not seeing from early day to nightime all the pleasant, kind and caring people who work at Care One Northampton where they worked so hard with my wife when other rehab facilities didn’t want to take her. Care One: they go above and beyond, to make their patients healthy, and if the patient can’t get healthy, they know because they evaluate their patients regularly. In my wife’s case she has many physical and serious conditions inhibiting her success to recover so is transitioned to hospice. Everyone in Care One love what they’re doing because simply put, they love people from all walks of life. They are unique.
Care One of Northampton has been an amazing blessing in our life. The most caring and compassionate staff that is of the highest quality care. Our mother lived with them for 8 years and we found a place filled with more love and genuine care than I ever could have imagined. We are forever grateful! Highly Recommended!!!!
My best friend and wife of over 38 years recently passed away at CareOne Northampton, the staff and especially the caregivers on the second floor were wonderful. Many became her family there and I loved chatting with them when they were helping my wife. The staff were very professional and caring, always willing to help. It was comforting knowing the love of my life was in good care at CareOne Northampton
I currently have a relative here. They DON'T take care of their patients at least not my family member. Bandages falling off from surgery not attended to. Suppose to get Pain meds every 4 hours and had 3 today!!! NOT walking my relative who should be up walking after surgery. They would have done better at home!!! Relatives are coming in to complain, calls are being made and Supervisor will be notified. If you can't do your jobs you shouldn't be getting paid PERIOD!!! DISGUSTED!!! Concerned Family Members
My wife was resident at CareOne Northampton for six months in 2024. She has dementia and can be both obstinate and aggressive. CareOne staff proved to be unfailingly kind, gracious, and respectful of her. I marveled at how skilled caregivers were in redirecting inappropriate behaviors. I had an equally fine experience with the admissions staff, business office, and social worker. These are thoroughly competent professionals at the top of their game.
