I’m not usually a person to make reviews online. The staff was extremely unhelpful and truly disappointing. I had been looking around for a practice taking new patients for months now, and will officially be out of my medication in a few days. I came to my appointment today and they said “we actually cancelled your appointment and called you September 15th but couldn’t leave a voicemail.” And then had no other available appointments for the rest of the year. With no other options given or any help offered I was forced to leave. There was no reason my appointment was cancelled and there was absolutely no option given to reschedule sooner. The medical staff here just said “sorry”. Really unprofessional and has really created an extreme problem for me and my health. Really sad that their staff do not care about patients whatsoever.

I had a wonderful practitioner when I first started coming here in 2019. When she left the practice in 2021, I was assigned to see a new practitioner, who I met with once before they also quit. I was then assigned to be a “new patient” all the way in Belchertown. I had to wait nearly six months to be seen as a new patient, which meant of course I fell behind on all my current care plans and medication. A front desk assistant at the Northampton office was kind enough to get me a refill of my daily, necessary medication, but only for one month. When arrived for my second appointment with the new provider all the way in Belchertown, I was told that she had also left the practice and that I should have gotten a letter in the mail. I had no phone calls or voicemails from their office. I did indeed receive the letter in the mail, the day AFTER my scheduled appointment. I was told that Northampton HAD to reabsorb the patients who were moved, so I called them only to be told that after four years at Cooley I would have to be a NEW PATIENT AGAIN! I understand that they are different offices, but it is absolutely exhausting to have to go through and PAY FOR all the “new patient” appointments when I have been coming to the same conglomerate for so many years. I have had my daily medications interrupted and stopped and randomly started again at no fault of my own for over four years now. Obviously this place cannot keep quality practitioners. I have a chronic autoimmune disorder and I cannot accomplish anything health wise because I am constantly having to restart with new providers. I have elected to leave Cooley all together and I am more than relieved to never have to deal with this circus again.

Doctors and nurses are great in person but getting anyone to answer the phone or call you back is impossibly frustrating. This has been going on for a while now, it’s not just a one time thing. The worst part was when I needed referral info resent and called requesting they resend it multiple times over a period of months and had to cancel appointments made with the referred doctor twice. I literally had to go into the office and ask for a physical copy of my referral so I could call the referred doctor and give them the information they needed. No one will call you back. It’s like leaving a message in a black hole.

Dr. De Almeida is absolutely wonderful. Along with various mental health struggles, I’ve had a lifelong fear of doctors that has led me to avoiding them if at all possible, but Dr. De Almeida is so kind, reassuring, and compassionate. She is always able to put me at ease and makes everything as easy as possible, and I would recommend her to anyone.

Wow, I cannnot believe how incredibly unprofessional this facility is. I can not make an appointment because I do not know my husband’s doctors name , we are new to the practice and the lady we spoke to HUNG UP on me! This is was insulting and frustrating. They need to hire different people to answer phones, we are lost or unable to connect to your health care providers without good communication between the phone service and our care team

My husband and I have received very good care here. Had one small issue which I wouldn't deem fair to factor into a rating of this kind, but wanted to leave the feedback, so I'll mention--the music playing in the waiting room was super annoying. Whatever happened to some jazz or classical, or how about just silence? Works for everyone, no worry about varying musical tastes.

My provider is Lauren Cartwright. She’s woooonderful! So kind, smart, and really sees me as an individual. You need all three of those things to get good care. Also, the office has been great in general. For urgent questions, a wicked smart nurse figures everything out and the provider gets you what you need. I love this place.
