Balance Body Spa in Newtonville

I have to give it one star to leave a review. There is a gift certificate given to me and finally I have time to get a massage but they refused to honor it. The person who sold the gift certificate is no longer work there. The spa still there, the name of the business and phone number still the same.

My experience every time I go is amazing. I've been going to balance spa for about a year now and I'm very particular about what I like and I must say they are good their customer service is phenomenal they give you water candy and business card where you can get $10 off when I first came they had a card with they stamp it every time you come and you will get a free one so overall they are five star especially due to me having an injury now I have a herniated disc actually too I recently got a massage that help me so much because she worked on The kinks and knots out so I promise you if you go there you won't be disappointed and there's always parking that's big.

Did a couples massage for 100$. From the pain on my spine and behind my ear, it doesn’t seem like the masseuse is actually trained at a school. She also seemed to touch my butt a lot. At one point the masseuse pulled my underwear down to reach further down, but if I had wanted her to go lower than my underwear I wouldn’t have worn any, I pulled them back up a little and back down a little they went. The best part about it was the hot stones, but it was not a relaxing environment, as the two masseuses were speaking to each other, the door opened at one point that my butt was uncovered, and our 50 minute massage couldn’t have been more than 35 minutes because we weren’t able to find the location. Overall, go somewhere better, your spine, ear and dignity will thank you.

This was my second visit and I specifically asked for Coco. In the middle of my massage she left the room and a man came in and started massaging me. They didn't even say anything about the exchange. All he said was they had a "nicer" customer and that the customer was shy so Coco had to go be his masseuse. I was very disappointed! This guy did not know what he was doing and I could not wait to get out of there. It was almost like being groped. I really wanted to speak to a manager, but I did not think that there was any about! I'm really sad.

I received a Groupon for a 50 min Theraputic massage plus Hot Stones. I looked online, their prices are extremely reasonable as well. The location was a little hard to find, but I just parked on Walnut street and walked around the corner to Washington street. This is a no-frills, professional place. I was greeted right away and quickly shown to my room. My masseuse was Dora she was so nice and attentive. She even tied up my hair when I forgot to bring an elastic. Dora made sure the pressure was okay throughout my entire appointment. The pressure was strong and she crunched and maneuvered my muscles like I've never felt! To be honest, I was sore the next day, but my muscles needed it! The hot stones felt amazing, it doesn't even feel like stones. On my way out, she gave me a much needed complimentary bottle of water, which was a nice touch. Overall, The 50 min went by WAY too fast, I will definitely be back!

Where to start? I love deep-tissue massages but this one was Intensely painful and rough. The hot stones, which I didn’t want, were extremely HOT. I ordered a 90 minute massage —30 min foot - 60 minute body massage but only got 30 minutes of each, which turned out to be a very good thing. Neither the receptionist or massage therapist Spoke English. I left feeling sore, and most likely will have blisters on my feet from the hot stones. Disappointed.

Got a couple's hot stone massage from Groupon. We were both thrilled with our service. My one wish is that they gave us a blanket instead of just the towel. But maybe that's what is needed for a hot stone massage. We left so relaxed, and idk what she did but my feet have no pain after that treatment. Miracle! Would definitely go back.

Today I had a hot stone massage with Summer and it was amazing. She was very professional and the pressure was great. They also do the feet massage as well and next time I will probably get that one too. The shop is clean and very welcoming. Will come back again.
