Harry Gath Memorial Pool in Newton

Beautiful pool in a great location. Plenty of parking, big playground steps away. Sad to say summer pool passes are for Newton residents only but you don't need to be resident to sign up for swim lessons though the town of Newton.

There is a diving board and a slide which is so much fun. I’d go here again if I could but the people here are nice and it’s really clean here. They also have showers and lockers which you are free to use. There is also 3 or more benches that are open on the sun and you can tan on them or there is benches under a shade which you could use when its too hot. I went here a bunch of times but one thing that is sad is you have to get a membership. Overall this place is extremely clean and has things like showers, toilets and lockers which you can use. It also has a baby pool which is nice for little kids so they can swim in it. There are a lot of life guards which is great. The diving boards are in great shape and it’s very fun to jump from them. Also the slide is very fun but one thing that’s not really fun is that there are little spaces between the slide and when you slide down you can feel them and it kinda hurts. Still this is the best pool I’ve been to and I’ll be happy to come here again!

Great pool, surrounding parks are green, sky is blue. Staff are very pleasant and entertaining with a great sense of humour and a strong focus on safety. Great rates with logical pricing as well as fair and understandable rules.

The Gath Pool is such a great place to spend a fun summer day! The lifeguards and front desk staff are professional friendly and always greet you with a smile! The prices are fantastic and you can't find a better deal. Not to mention the water is so clear and beautiful. Every time I am there the facilities have been spotless and the pool area well kept and clean. Keep up the great work!

Met a very nice and great lifeguard. On top of that my son had a great experience swimming in the pool. Overall a wonderful day. Plus it helps that it's free to get in!

The pool is very nice but the scheduling and communication are poor. Online hours said 11 to 2 for the day but when we arrived at 11:40 we were told the kids couldn't go in for 20 more minutes and the baby pool was closed completely for the summer. My complaint is the lack of communication or misleading information about availability.

Busy pool with nice diving boards. The shallow baby pool is nice, but you can't get to it from the main pool without going through the pool house which makes watching kids of varying ages quite difficult. Plenty of free street parking.
