I had been dealing with a months long arm injury and not only did he help me regain mobility in it again, he also gave me some really helpful tips and techniques to maintain my arm that I could work on by myself Even after I no longer had an acute issue, today I went to him and it feels like my spine and lower back has been freed. I feel like I have never been able to rotate my torso so freely before and my partner says I "seem a lot more myself" again While he was on vacation I tried four or five other massage therapists for about double the price in the Boston area and he is still the person I choose to make sure to go to regularly to help me come back home to my body and really *work* on those tense muscles. Bonus the conversations are great if you want that and if you don't he's also very respectful to give you space. He also knows how to do cupping and gua sha + utilize heat really well. I would say don't shy away from the 'not a spa' messaging because it really is the full treatment.
