The pool is big and lots of fun. The height is from 3 feet 6 inches to 4 feet 10 onches
Awesome swimming pool in Melrose, Plenty of parking on the street and the maximum depth of the swimming pool is 4.5feet, so great place for swimming, for kids and adults to can swim, Clean and nice 👍👍👍👍
I was very disappointed I went on one of the hottest days of the year so far and they have people waiting in line for two hours. I personally had to wait for an hour and 45 minutes and then as soon as I got in they heard thunder and kicked everybody out I wasn't even in the pool with my son for 10 minutes. You can hear the staff talking negatively about the people waiting. And I understand because people kept asking them questions and getting upset because of how long they were waiting in line but they should have had a better system. I've been to pools but they've been packed since the pandemic and they usually have a list where people put their name and the time they entered and they will have a time limit. Or make pool text more regular where you have to rotate people more often.
Me and my 7 year old daughter waiting over an hour in line we swam for 10 mins and the lifeguard heard thunder and cleared the pool with the sky's clear. They said we can wait in line again for 30 mins but they closed in 40 mins. They suck!! A bunch of kids who want to go home Earley if I was there boss I'd fire them all
I am elderly and need to be in a zero gravity chair due to a serious back injury. I called them on the phone about a month ago and asked if I could bring my chair. I was told I could. I went there TWICE alone and had no problem using my chair. However 2 weeks ago I came with my chair alone again and was told by the young man there that I couldn't bring my chair in. I asked him to call his boss, which he did. I explained to his boss JOHN KELLEY that I was disabled due to my back injury and he allowed me in with my chair. Next thing I know I am lounging in my chair-- not in anyone's way mind you as I counted 13 people in the pool with about 6 people sitting on the cement on towels-- when from behind me comes JOHN KELLEY telling me I couldn't lounge in my chair. I pointed to another lounge chair at the other end of the pool that no one was sitting in as they were in the pool. I asked him why and he said I could sit upright in it but couldn't lounge in it. SERIOUSLY??? The other 2 times I was there many more people were there as there was on this day and no one said anything to me. Totally ridiculous!! This JOHN KELLEY was basically bullying an elderly person for no other reason but to throw his weight around as he was the supervisor there. I couldn't believe it!!! I CAN'T sit upright in the chair for very long because it puts pressure on my lower back causing pain. I am writing all this to WARN ALL ELDERLY PEOPLE NOT TO GO THERE!!! I called a state government office about this and have been waiting for someone to get back to me. During this time of Covid and so much uncertainty in this country--we should be HELPING each other not HURTING each other!!! This man was nothing but a big bully!!! I hope he sleeps well at night but I doubt it. People like him are very unhappy within themselves--which most bullies are--and pick on people weaker than them. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!!! I sincerely hope that he loses his job over this for next year as I believe that the pool will be closing at the end of this month. Here are the photos I took of the pool and how many people were there. Also the showers and toilets are disgusting and the changing area is roped off and not in use. I , for the life of me, just don't get it!!! SMH
This pool is fabulous! Clean, free and big. But the best part is the lifeguards. If is is. Use there are at least 3 guards on. They rotate chairs so no one gets to tired. They are extremely attentive to the kids! Today a little girl in the shallow end of the pool swallowed water and could have drowned but the life guard immediately pulled her out of the water. She was so Aiken to her family and two different life guards went to check in her. They are very strict about the type of goggles that are allowed and don’t tolerate unsafe play. I feel very lucky to live near such a fabulous pool.
Not bad for a public swimming pool completely free of charge. You just walk in. I suppose it's not the cleanest most sn Sanitary pool, the locker room is somewhat dirty & gross I's recommend wearing your bathing suit over there & waiting till you get home to shower & change, but that's the setback of there being no charge & anybody can just walk in & go swimming. But the water is cleaned regularly & just the right amount of chlorine. I know a lot of people complain about the pool checks but the reason they have them is because there was a drowning at the public swimming pool in Fall River some 10 years ago. Nobody even discovered the body until a few days later so I guess they do it for the swimmers own safety. Although the breaks from watching swimmers they give themselves...., I mean,....., pool checks, seem to be getting longer, a LOT longer than 15 minutes. One time when I was there when I got home my beach towells had some 'bodily fluid' stains so that kind of bothered me so you might want to bring some old beach towels & not like your souvenir towels from Florida or the Bahamas or something.
Second Time I have been to this pool. I enjoyed it very much today the temperature was great. It was very relaxing. Only thing Is there isn't any tables or chairs so you have to bring your own. Also could use some vending machines for snacks. Like the showers as well. Overall my experiences have been great. Some nice 👀🍬 of course.
