Really appreciate this swimming spot… like going to a lake with the safety of the lifeguards watching over like at a pool. It’s so nice to have the nature feel, ability to wade in for little ones, a little more space, and it’s rarely super busy except while the camp kids are there.
I love the pool and if you want to swim in laps they have like 5 long laps open and they also have a little raft and it’s in the middle of the pool/lake and there’s a diving board on it and it’s basically for you to like jump and the swim teacher are great and teach very good the only teachers I have had is Jamie and Caleb or kaleb not too sure how to spell it but there both very great other teachers are too but I am just saying those are the 2 teachers that’s showed me how to swim it a very big pool/lake and you should go there also there is a kiddie pool/lake area and past that are the more taller stuff I just say overall it’s a really go od pool/lake or lagoon
Is it for Manchester residence only? I didn't see it on the sign but the some lady just kept saying its only if I live there. It was almost 6 so we ended up just walking up to take a peek and got to swim for 15 minutes. Its such a cool and relaxing place to swim in the heat. I'm guessing she didn't want us there. Also is the a entry fee? I didn't read that either
Globe is awesome. Anyone who grew up in Manchester will remember going here. Great location and well kept.
Its a pond so take it from there. Alot of summer camps frequent here so at times it can have a lot of children. They offer swim lessons and certain times you can do laps in a segregated area. The " raft" in the middle is unique in it has a high diving board. The raft is accessible to strong crawl stroke swimmers only as you will be alerted very quickly if you are deemed a weak swimmer. There is a small snack bar and public rest rooms and changing stalls.
Very large pool instead I would say village side pond because it looks like and maintained that way. Otherwise it has different level of depth of water which should be easy for kids to learn the swimming. So do not except clean water like swimming pool instead expect some sand, stones and other water insects. Watchful about it before sending kids
It's a yes and no for me... it's big and family friendly but the floor is gooey. Wear water shoes. We brought a small cooler to put on the grass and it was cool.
Been swimming at Globe for 20 years. The water supply comes directly from the reservoir above it. It is a living pond with reeds and such and water flowing in and out of the pond. A pool is a dead zone with enough chemicals to cause my eyes to burn. It has a very large pool type paved shallow spot for the kids with two sprinklers of fresh water, a raft and diving board in the middle for teenagers, and several 75 yard long swimming lanes. Lifeguards are numerous and attentive. There is a large lawn area to lay on or read. One whole side is steps into a paved area that goes most of the way accross the pond. There is a large building for changing, showering, and toilets. You need a rec card to enter or I think a $2 day pass.
