The paths by Lake Bray are perfect for loudly singing 6 or 7 sea shanties as you walk. In the off season, parking is free! Some lovely outcrops of East Berlin formation sandstone along the path, and Hampden basalt too if you go offroading. Also, footbridges. (delightful!)
Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful one of the best I’ve ever ever been on in a while, great to bring pets on leashes, and of course your kids just be careful of the venomous rattlesnakes ( harmless unless provoked)
What an absolutely beautiful park that boasts many trails! A great escape from the hustle and bustle. Every time you go there’s a new trail, tower, waterfall or view to see. Since it’s so versatile you can bring kids and dogs. There is ample parking. Excited to go back!
A beautiful place to visit and relax in the woods.
This place is absolutely fantastic. Not to mention that it’s massive. There is a beautiful lake and several streams you can find along the forest. If you like hiking, there are plenty of trails that you can take and some of them lead to the summit of Mt Tom. They are also picnic areas and restrooms that are accessible to anybody. This place is also mostly wheelchair friendly. Had a fantastic time using my camera to take some amazing photos. 10 out of 10 recommend coming here.
Mount Tom State Reservation is one of my favorite places to go hiking, enjoy the scenery and relax on top of the mountain cliffs looking over beautiful Easthampton Massachusetts. if you ever get a chance to watch the sunset from the cliffs, I guarantee you will be coming back . Even though I was in the clouds today it was still beautiful. With a vast range of trails from challenging too easy you can have an adventure with the whole family, friends or if you just want to go for a nice little hike in the woods. the reservation also has an amazing Park and playground that my son loves to play on as well as a pavilion for parties. there are many different places you can visit in the reservation including the Erie ruins and the watch tower. I would encourage everybody to get outside and go visit Mount Tom State Reservation! the place is pretty awesome! and Hiking is good for your health ! get outside!!!
What a gem! Such a great park and fun place to spend the day. Explore the trails or climb up the tower and get a panoramic view of the valley. Hang by the pond or hike up to the ruins. Soo many good walks and nice views, highly recommend.
To enter you could park your car outside and walk in or pay $5 to park in ($5 for MA licenced cars). No mountain bikes or skateboards allowed here, there is a public restroom, several benches to sit down, several public grills, and a small playground for kids. Be sure to bring long cloths or better yet mosquito spray. I had entered for only a few minutes and already I was bit at least 3 times.

Very nice hiking mountain, only reason why Im giving it so low of a review is that its $20 to park and before it was free. Im a resident of Massachusetts but do not have a mass license plate.
Made the annual hike to the top. Always a rewarding view at the top by the old hotel cite. Getting in before the season avoided the parking fee which isnt much but still a good perk. But even with only 3 weeks before memorial day weekend this was busier than Im used to. However with such great weather today low to mid sixties on a Saturday its what you should expect. Some of postings along the trails which give the history of the sites could use some updating onto something more permanent rather than a piece of weathered paper in a plastic sleeve. But thats ok Google helps with that, just dont expect cell reception.

It was a very good hike, I got quite the workout. I didn t walk in any of the trails since it had just rained. And they were quite muddy . But enjoyed the area regardless!

Wonderful park, many trails and steel grills. A recently reworked playground for the kiddos as well. Interpretive self guided tour of the Eyrie House has been added too!

Who wasnt there yet has definitely missed something. The nature there is simply breath-taking. One will find a lot of different hiking trails of different lengths. Even if one is not into hiking, one can go to several spots by car and simply enjoy the beautiful panorama.

Lovely hike around a pond, with varied terrain and mud (not for the very elderly). Dogs on leashes allowed. Closes at 4pm, but you can park outside the gate before the overpass. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leashes allowed.
Always gets you into chilling with mother nature so baberific what ; !!! Serious great trails .. scenery .. I love love riding through here ! So many special times in my life happened here . Training rides before and after races . Its a special place . Everyone should get to see it
Mt Tom is a great state park. It is located so close to the heart of the pioneer valley. Easy to get to and lots of trails with great views. In the winter when it is very cold there is a lot of ice skating on Bray Lake near the main entrance. So far, Ive never found it too crowded.

Nice place for a hike around the pond. It was interesting to spot a snake chasing a poor frog. We were a little worried about more snakes but there were no more that we saw. Theres alot to do at the top too. Playground for kids. Playground: Little playground at top of mountain Toilets: Nice restrooms closer to the pond. Portapotty available at top of mountain.

One of my favorite places of all time. Wonderfully taken care of. So many great trails. Areas to picnic...views... playground.... lake for fishing ...ice skating in winter... fire pits... grills for cooking! Drive through or explore on foot with 2 legged and 4 legged friends... handicap access too.

Located at 125 Reservation Road in Holyoke Massachusetts. Beautiful look out points overlooking East Hampton. Closing time is 4PM. There are plenty of trails to hike on, and there are maps available or you can scan the code at the entrance for a map to your smartphone. There is a tower called Bray Tower, that you can go up on to look out over the valley. Going here made for a great afternoon! If you are looking for a nice place in nature, in the woods, then check this place out.

Mt Tom range is an incredible place to spend a day hiking. Going in to the state park from Route 5 brings you to Bray lake and a parking area with great trails that take you to various peaks. All with great views. Trails can be tough but well worth it. It s been dry but rain can create pooled areas quickly in the spring. Don t wear your nice sneakers or shoes. Website says $5 per vehicle per day but no one has been at the entrance collecting payment all year. Go out and enjoy our beautiful valley.

Its always a blast to go to Mount Tom. There is so much todo from hiking trails, to having picnics, checking out the scenic views or just enjoying nature and the fresh air. If you are in the area, and you like nature I cannot recommend visiting Mount Tom enough.

Great for a picnic and lovely views over the valley. There are tables by the pond and also along the main road through the park - often unmarked on the map! For an even better view go up the lookout towers (made of mesh metal stairs, so not for the faint of heart or poor of balance.)

Been going there for years beautiful place
I came here with my boyfriend. We went to the side of the park which has a all pond. It was pretty. There were huge clean bathrooms, a paved parking lot and surprisingly a handicapped accessible path to walk in around this section of the park. Not sure if the whole park is handicapped accessible paths to walk but this part did.

One of those hiking places, where you find a new, unexpected gem every time you go. Don t be afraid to go off the beaten path and you ll see a former wave pool covered in colorful graffiti, a breathtaking view of an old quarry, tiny pond or an abandoned ski lift.

This trip was courtesy of Atlas Obscure. An international website that has listed obscure places you would not generally find in a travel brochure as places of interest. It is an awesome resource for the adventurer! This day I went to Mt Tom National Park and hiked about 2 miles to the ruins of the Erie Hotel, built in 1860 and burned down at the turn of the twentieth century. A horse crematorium caught fire and the fire spread to the hotel. Well worth the hike. Besides this area, the Park has many trails and a large play area for children. There were a lot of people but everyone was observing covid guidelines. It was a beautiful day.
Great outdoor recreation area. Some areas get crowded on weekends with good weather though. Not too bad once you leave the parking areas and avoid the really popular trails.
If the gates are closed dont park on the street or youll get a $25 ticket

There isnt much to say, its Mt Tom and its beautiful! Plenty of trails and plenty of views, easily one of my favorite hikes and anytime Im in the area I try to take a quick trip up to relax or get some fresh air.
