I always recommend this location as the staff is great, it s clean and well-maintained, and there s a large amount of equipment so you rarely have to wait for machines.

My fiancé got a black card membership this January 2024. They bait and switched us, when we were signing up in January they told us he could sign up and I could go as a guest with him to all areas of the gym as long as I am with him. We went several times in January to the massage chairs and hydromassage chairs. Today, it was my fiancés birthday and they didnt let us go together because I am his guest. This wasnt explained when he first signed up. I own a business and I do not believe in bait and switch tactics that get people to sign up, pay the annual membership fee, be explained that you can use all parts of the gym with you and your guest, and then be told no you cant. My fiancé wanted to go for his birthday to relax a little, and we couldnt go together so he said no, disappointedly. We will be speaking with a manager on Monday. Completely unacceptable.

I ve been to dozens of planet fitnesses and this is by far the cleanest and well maintained location. It is newer so that helps. Equipment is usually in good working order. Plus it has a standalone dual cable machine which not many have. Bathrooms have automatic toilets and sinks, and usually no foul odors.

Joined yesterday and demanded a refund today. This gym allows a regular to hang around, apparently drunk, harassing women and telling the vilest, filthiest, most hate-filled jokes about minorities. I was shocked, horrified, and literally sick at what I was hearing. I spoke to the staff, who basically shrugged and then allowed him to leave without a word. The women being harassed said it goes on every day with that man, and they just ignore it. I refused to ignore it, and demanded my money back ($200 for a pre-paid year). I should have believed the reviews. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!

Good gym. Lots of equipment. Locker rooms and trainer available. Black card members get use of massage chairs, tanning beds and hydro massage tables. Ive been going to the one in Chicopee for over 5 years but lately some of the day staff there have become very rude, judgemental and no help with basic questions. The current Chicopee trainer is rude and was condescending to me when I asked for a session and help. He and the female worker with him were basically clowning on me which was very hurtful. He said if he found time he would try to help me but never did and I see him constantly standing around doing nothing unless you are a hot girl then he jumps to help. Very disappointed because the previous trainer helped me lose over 60 pounds and was very kind and helpful. I tried this location to see how it was and was very impressed.

I love the planet fitness in Holyoke the one in the mall my favorite staff has to be Philly she literally helps out in any way she can she teaches ways on how to do the right way of workouts I love her and the atmosphere

Was nervous to go to this location. I was greater by Philly I believe her name is. She helped me feel comfortable and showed me parts of the gym when I needed. I appreciate that part for real. I ll definitely be back.

I had covid-19 before using equipment. This was yesterday

Left my home gym of West Springfield .5 minutes away to this one. At least this facility is clean and well maintained

I canceled my membership in person with my husband in January. They were still charging me but not him. They refuse to give me back my money despite me signing the cancellation form that I did not get a copy of. I haven t been there since feb 2000. It was their screw up but refuse to reimburse me. I will never be a member of planet fitness again!

Can you show me the science behind needing a mask when doing high impact aerobics behind a sheet of plastic with no one near me? Cancelling until Planet Fitness emerges from fear based medieval torture mentality.

I think this place handled the COVID Pandemic very well and theyre doing a good job at bouncing back to business as usual. The staff are very helpful and the facility has a great variety of machines to get a good workout in!

Its alright, a little too crowded for me. It always seams like people are living there or something. No matter what time I go theres certain individuals that are always there. Like maybe they are homeless and taking advantage of the showers. I dont know, just an observation.

I am a hard-core work out veteran. I love the staff here and they are very helpful!! I needed assistance with a hydro massage ( best thing in the world) and they immediately assisted me and not in a omg I gotta help more like a no problem, lets see what we can do typeof attitude. Very positive for my type of energy. I love working out with good staff vibes and three of the staff that I have met so far two women ( one being the manager) and a male with dreads great people!!!

The staff always greets me with a smile and is friendly and helpful. I have been very impressed by the cleanliness of the gym. I often see employees cleaning the machines, floors and refilling the disinfectant spray bottles. I fell comfortable working out especially during this scary pandemic. I love the variety of machines and the fact that there are numerous machines alike so there is very little waiting.

behind the counter staff is awesome and the equipment is new and nice but the janitor is creepy. I have made complaints nothing has been done he s still following women around and just as creepy as he s ever been.

Clean, gigantic, high ceilings, consistently comfortable temperature - its a good place to get a solid workout. Parking isnt the greatest, but its really not that difficult to walk a little further or at a different mall entrance.

along with sighning up it states you have to come into the club or send a letter via mail to cancel i am sorry it offened you in any way but that is doing my job 100%%

I had a horrible experience with the planet fitness in Westfield. I decided to give the Holyoke mall planet fitness a try and I m sooo glad I did. Staff is so friendlys and cleans all machines any chance they get. The trainer dan is amazing and is currently helping me reach my fitness goals. The manager mike is super nice, helpful and very professional. It s a very peaceful, very clean and enjoyable planet fitness. I won t go to any other !

Judgement free zone.... I kind of did my own thing and really didnt feel uncomfortable. No one judged me of laughed cuz Im very inexperienced at working out. I felt great!!!!

A bit small, machines clustered together, no hydromassage beds or hydromassage chairs but staff were receptive and helpful and members were nice. Some may find comfort in the smaller, less intimidating atmosphere, so it may not necessarily be a negative aspect, especially considering the population who attend this planet fitness seem to be very personable. No complaints.

I haven t been to the actual place yet, but when I called the guy politely told me they were not opened yet and answered my questions! I need to go tanning and today will be the last day I go to the Chicopee location because the Holyoke one has the lay-down beds Sooooo fricken excited to try this location out because it s 10 minutes away from my house!!! Pumped!!!

Good gym for people who have direction and knowledge about fitness who are looking for convenience and low cost rather than for amount of features and guidance.

I travel for work and have experienced a dozen different planet fitness locations. This is by far the most run down and dirty location I ve seen. The staff is unwelcoming and basically sits around talkingn to each other or looks at there phones. I ve never seen anyone cleaning the equipment. Several of the gym door locks are broken. The men s locker room is gross. If this was hell all locations were I would quit my membership.

They are open 24 hours, 5 days a week and scheduled hours the other two days and have a friendly staff at the front desk at night when open 24 hours. They are friendly and helpful.

Never really busy, has lot of equipment to work with, and not to far from other shopping like riverdale.

No complaints about tidiness, the locker room isnice, but the layout feels very disorganized and without flow. It also felt a bit cramped and jammed in - not to the point where I couldn t work out, but I never really got comfortable. Even though I live about 5 min away from it I opt to go to Chicopee or Springfield on Liberty Street.

Ratings are based on these 5 things. 1. Customer Service. [Pretty good actually and straightforward.] ++ 2. Cleanliness. [The equipment is clean, other gym users also sanitize the machines after use, Ive seen better bathrooms and showers. The showers do not have hooks on the outside of the stalls for easy access to towels, making them hard to use. The showers are also pretty small. They cannot be used to clean you up after a workout as a result.] - - 3. Comfort. [This place is super cramped. After a good workout there is nowhere to sit except inside the locker room, even if you are only doing so for a minute.] - 4. Location. [For me, this location despite being in my town is actually harder to access than gyms in Agawam or Westfield.] - 5. Access. [Claims to be 24 hours online but is only offering 24 hour days on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday with early closings on the other days and a slightly early opening on Monday.] / So basically at the price of a gym this place fails. Golds gym which was taken over was actually better for the same idea. Even if the customer service is good and made up for the bad location and comfort, you still have to deal with post and pre workout annoyances and pretty average access at full price. Id expect to pay these prices at a gym that was better tailored or more exclusive. [It was less than 30$ a month but it comes with a yearly surcharge too.]

Great gym with superior customer service staff at front desk! Two improvements I would recommend would be 1) updated locker rooms & 2) Adding rowing machines to the gym. I think if these two we added this gym would be more competitive with the other Planet Fitnesses in the area. Overall, great experience here!

I came in town and the Planet fitness use to be a Ballys. I figured the gym equipment would be the same but i was wrong. The equipment is that standard Planet fitness equipment so no surprise there but the machines are packed togethor its ridiculous no body thought about the lay out. The wall in the back use to be open rooms so Im confused as to why they didnt utilize those rooms instead of making a wall and packing equipment togethor and their members walking into each other. Theres a wonderful sign hung up in the back making fun of ppl who drink water and are comfortable with their appearance evidently we are called lunks. Interesting coming from a judgement free zone where anybody we mean anybody can feel comfortable working out but apparently thats false. Save your money and go elsewhere or rather not this location and their locker room is disqusting.

Great clean place

I ve been to almost a hundred PF locations. The northeast tends to have more cramped locations as existing gyms are converted to PF s rather than the impressive new construction you find down south. This particular location has none of the sleek finish of the others. Broken equipment, no changing rooms, ancient showers. Basically, it s not a PF, it s just using the paint and name. However, it is still functionally a good gym with all the features you d need, just not up to the high standards I ve come to expect from PF.

Is does seem like they have just taken the name and color from PF. The equipment is mostly new now but does seemed cramped together. It s works for the morning or weekend worriers. The weights top out at 75lbs so if you want to push your self your kind of capped. They ve had some issues with opening on time on the weekends but management called me and stated they have hopefully address issue. PS. clean your windows !

Nice staff, great equipment. Other members can be quite helpful too, giving pointers here and there or helping you out when you need it. Its a really nice environment to work out in and probably the least intimidating gym around. Unfortunately, if you are hoping to use a free bar, that was removed a little while back.

BAD way of dealing with the customer!!! Customer service is very very poor!!! I would like to disclose the name in specific but im not. If you are cancelling the membership do it right there!! If you do it from out side the state these folks gives you hard time.
