Salon 180 East in Easthampton

I've had the best experience with Kayla Mendrek & getting extensions, both clip in and hand tied. She is amazing to work with and gave me my confidence back with my new hair! Can't recommend enough!

Booked an appointment for a curly cut but day of the stylist was out so they rescheduled me for that Saturday. There was very little signage in the building and it was very hard to find. My appointment was only 30 min because they had another client coming in. The cut was fine, and as she was washing my hair, the stylist explained that she was going to clarify my hair, then shampoo and condition it, then do a cream and gel to style it before diffusing and putting me under the dryer to finish. What actually happened was she washed my hair once, added some leave-in conditioner, a small amount of cream product, and put me under the dryer before starting on her next client. Only the top of my head dried, my ends were still wet. She left her other client to quickly touch up the cut and then sent me to the register. I paid $85 including tip for this service. I left with wet, frizzy hair and a very dry scalp. My hair is still drying (over an hour later) so I can’t say whether I actually like the cut. Very dissatisfied with the experience and will not be going back.

Melissa is THE BEST! I sought her out after she switched locations because I was missing her expertise and our excellent conversations. I come in for a great haircut and stay for the hilarious chats we have! Her energy is great, the salon is very open and comfortable, and I always get the best compliments on my hair afterwards. Melissa understands my vision and how to execute it, and if there's any questions at all she isn't afraid to confirm or adjust. Genuinely just a great, talented human being with the best vibes. Usually I just come in with some photos of what I like and trust her to have fun with it. So happy to have found her! :)

I’m so happy I discovered Salon 180 East. My stylist, Melissa, is always fantastic! She takes the time to really understand what I want and gave me a cut and color that always exceeds my expectations. Her attention to detail and professionalism are top-notch. Hands down the best salon in Western MA! Every time I walk in there I instantly feel at peace, somehow a little more energized and most of all, happy. The atmosphere and overall vibe is what it is. I've been seeing Kayla Mendrek for awhile and I have never been disappointed. I always tell her to do her thing and it somehow comes out exactly how I wanted, if not better. All of the hair stylists here do amazing work and are so welcoming. Corrin is another one I have to especially praise as she did my hair for my wedding. It was also EXACTLY what I wanted and how fast she was able to accomplish it amazed me. If you need a new stylist who knows how to do it all, I highly recommend Salon 180 East. You will arrive and be surrounded by positivity, and will leave feeling relaxed and 100% satisfied.

Salon 180 is a great environment to walk into for a few hours of pampering! First off the front counter interaction is pleasant followed by a place to wait with coffee, tea, and water up for grabs. My stylist Melissa is always listening to my ideas but also giving her ideas which turns into a glorious experience! All the stylist around are welcoming and say hello even though you are not their client. I would highly recommend heading to Salon 180 to get all your pampering needs fulfilled.

I am so glad I booked Salon 180 East for my wedding hair and makeup! The salon staff (Robyn and Carissa) were so helpful, responsive, and friendly when scheduling appointments for my wedding trial and a pre-wedding hair trim and manicure. For my wedding, Mary was assigned as my hair stylist and Colleen was assigned as my makeup artist. Both of them were absolutely lovely to work with before and during my wedding, and were able to provide hair and makeup services at the wedding venue. They were extremely punctual, flexible, and professional the day of. Not only are they skilled at hair and makeup, but also so fun and easy to talk to! Mary and Colleen both made everyone in the group who had their hair and makeup done (including my mother and my husband’s mother) feel special and look beautiful. I really wanted to strike a balance between glamorous and natural for my bridal hair and makeup, and Mary and Colleen executed my vision flawlessly. I received so many compliments during the wedding, as did my friends and family who had their hair and makeup done. Thank you, Mary and Colleen! I wish I lived closer to Salon 180 East so I could go here for all of my future hair, makeup, and nail needs, but I’ll definitely be back!

Booked the salon for my wedding in October and I could not recommend it more! Mary coordinated the whole thing and made sure my large party was taken care of. We brought in food and they provided the perfect setup for us to kickstart the day. Mary did hair for all 12 of us in the wedding party and the makeup was perfect! Each person had very different skin and hair textures and they all loved their looks!!
