Get ready to raise your glasses! The Sullivan Family is excited to reintroduce Craft 32 as East Village Tavern. Delicious food, quality service, and a welcoming environment that you know and love in a new location.
Love this bar. It's clean, modern, great service and the food is great! I've been twice and both times were consistent. I'll definitely take the drive (from CT) more times to dine here.
Great food! Though I did have to wait for quite a while to pick it up. When I walked in, there was a "Please Wait To Be Seated" sign. However, no one ever came. I was going to start asking when one of the bartenders noticed and helped me out. She was very helpful, and there were no issues with the food itself. I certainly don't mind going anywhere in a restaurant to grab my food. I just need to know 🙂
Just dined here for lunch with my dad the bartender that started to serve us (left her shift ending mid meal) I had ordered a spicy margarita from and she chose to use Don Julio and charged me $17 a drink without asking absolutely unreal. I wouldn’t pay that at a nice restaurant. Asked for the wings to be crispy they came out burnt lesson learned also the bartender that took over, serving us after the first girl had left was not interested in waiting on us as customers but more interested in her friends that were there dining as well. Nice place but mediocre food and terrible service.
The staff was super accommodating during a difficult time. The manager was so nice and the waitstaff was wonderful. We had to leave early and the manager gave us our food to go. We will definitely be going there again!
We had a great time at the bar the couple of times we visited, so we decided to come for lunch. Unfortunately, the nachos were burnt and inedible. I was wondering why the waitress thought it was okay to serve the obviously overcooked food. We asked for a replacement and what we got was a whole mess of uncooked cheese, cold chips and tasteless toppings. This lack of concern for our food put a bad taste in our mouth, no pun intended.
LOVE this place. Highly recommend for any day of the week. They have Thursday Trivia and a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy some amazing mixology and great cuisine with proper proportions, we always leave happy and full. I usually get the fish tacos but I tried the Salmon and my boyfriend tried the steak firtts. The new management is fantastic the place is a pleasure to visit!
I want to love this place but something is just holding it back, it's okay. You will definitely like it and not regret your visit! The service: we had the pleasure of meeting a partner of the upcoming East Village Tavern. He was attentive and pleasant. The staff were also helpful but seemed frazzled, perhaps they were down a server that night, the girl in our section seemed super busy. The bartender didn't put garnishes (cherry for a fruit drink and olives for a martini), no biggie. We ordered bone-in wings and got chicken tenders instead. It was the little things... The food: still remains imaginative, and hip. But other places that serve similar dishes use less fats and oils. The food here remains very heavy. It's very fatty and buttery which makes it taste amazing but really makes you sluggish. I wish they would cut back on the oil and butter a bit. And offer lighter options and dishes. The Ruben was great. Fries were thin and crispy, with the option of sweet potato and truffle fries. The highlight of our meal were the fried edamame that come with a spicy aioli sauce. We've never seen this done before, very creative and tasty. The atmosphere: remains pretty loud, the bar in the center creates a lot of noise that's hard to get away from as the booths are built around it. It's an impressive setup with the long bar but not too practical. Other restaurants sperate the bar and dining for a reason, so the dinners can have intimacy and quiet and the bar can be rowdy and fun. The place right now is sort of in-between a transition, turning from Craft 32 to East Village Tavern. So it's in a bit of a rough shape, walls are bare and unpainted. I hope to see the final product soon. They plan on building a big patio on the side.
What an amazing experience. My first time to craft 32. The servers were attentive and gave the best suggestions. The food was incredible. The salmon was cooked to perfection with the most amazing savory Cajun risotto I have ever had. There was great live music (friday) and such a pleasant atmosphere. I will 100% come back as soon as possible. New favorite spot
