18-hole semiprivate golf course. Operates late March through November.
I am 63 yrs old . I took lessons from Joe at the pro shop. As a kid. I grew up next door in ct. The coure was built on part of my aunt and uncles property. The kuca's . This course was top-notch. Beautiful. I enjoyed the pool, which I took swimming lessons. Met a lot of friends.played a lot of golf. Seen alot of weddings over there. It's just too bad it is falling apart. I feel like going over and starting to mow the fair ways. Clean on traps and cart paths. Rebuild the small bridges. It's not that hard to do. Just keep working and take pride in bringing this course back to life. Remodel club house.
Honestly the place looks like a set piece from “The Last of Us”. Conditions not very good. I gave it 2 stars because it was 30 with a cart and no one was there so I spent 3 hours practicing and enjoyed the solitude while tinkering with my game. Joe Pagos would be horrified.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Elmcrest Country Club, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations as a premier golf and country club. Nestled in a scenic location, Elmcrest offers a fantastic experience for golf enthusiasts and a range of amenities for members and guests
Is this place for sale? Looks like they are trying to run a once beautiful course into the ground to sell it for condos. Sad. Unfortunately they also had the nerve to charge 60$ a person for a place where you can’t tell the rough from the fairway and let’s not talk about the greens. Joke. Don’t waste time or money here
I don't dislike it, but it is not a good value for the cost. The course is not in good shape, but we enjoyed having the place to ourselves. They need to drop their prices if they care about attracting more players.
Great place and great staff….. greens look amazing especially since there is such a small staff that works this course.…. People need to pay attention to the 19th hole that seems to never get taken care of and an owner who hasn’t done anything with the building since he bought it. Course is beautiful and that is thanks to the crew not the business side…a shack for the pro shop..I was shocked to see that…but staff running it were up beat and welcoming….. I’ll see this place next summer when in town …. Please for the love of god someone buy this place, keep the staff and make it what it was once…..
One of the worst courses I’ve played all year and more than that. The tee box on the first hole was the best box on the whole course, and now they get rid of it for a corporate tent? Seriously? The deck in the back of the 18th green was one of the best now it’s gone, just awful. Then the demeanor of the higher ups there is terrible, no clue how to run a golf course. Pretty sad how far it has fallen
We just had our (ELHS Class of 1980) reunion at Elmcrest CC. We had an awesome time. The food - pig roast and BBQ - was absolutely fantastic. The service was great the entire evening. The entire group did a great job taking care of us. Thank you so much. Well done!
