Szot Park in Chicopee

Just posted some new pictures of the Park. It's late March and the Park will be prettier in a couple of months. I haven't posted pictures of the Tennis Courts yet but will soon. There are ongoing improvements happening in the Park.

I've been here many times. Szot park is a unique place. There's a big entrance from the big Front Street in Chicopee. There's a giant tank there on display. Then you come up to a state of the art football field which Chicopee High School plays on though their school is a ways away from the park. Then next to that place there is a big field used from time to time by the town but mostly for sport practices. I go there almost daily to watch my boy practice football. On nice days I like to drive to the side of the park, park my car, roll the windows down and put my hat onto my face and catch a few Zzzzs while waiting for his practice to be over. If you are one of the people walking their dogs there, or if you are riding your bike nearby, please don't disturb me. I'm a teacher. It's been a long day. I want to enjoy Szot park too.

Nice park, lots of updating going on that will look good when finished. Went to see the fireworks here and had a great time.....they put on a good show. Plenty of parking and they had a few food trucks for snacks. The grounds are well groomed and lots of bleacher seats to sit on. Traffic afterwards was pretty bad but the police kept everything moving.

Always love this place. A large park with multiple entrances, areas to park, areas to sit, you can picnic, play ball, there's a small frog/goose pond, lots of room to walk! Plenty of activities with a basketball court, playground, not sure the status of the bocce court and they took the pool out....so it is under some construction/reconstruction I have heard🤔 Always a good time

Very well maintained park, with a nice playground for the kids and lots of space to play games!

Very beautiful Park. Maintenance is always on their job you can see them cleaning and picking up during the day. I encountered many geese and ducks. Scenery is very green and peaceful. I also did a photo shoot here.

4.20.22 we stopped by to check out the 2 military tanks and the kids loved it. One was accessible and the 2nd was fenced in. We walked around a little but much of the grass was covered in geese poop so that limited us.

I love coming here just to be relaxed and there's always interesting things going on everytime I go there. Also love the different dogs I see all the time
