Wonderful, natural peaceful place to find nature at his finest
I've been going there since I was a kid and I'm 70 so it's great is my opinion. But I don't really like all the geese! They just poop everywhere. Really hard to walk around. By the time you leave. You'll be 2 in taller 🤣 but anyways, this time of year it's probably not the most exciting place to go. But when the weather is nice, everybody's playing baseball, basketball, swimming in the pool when it's open. No picnic tables, no fireplaces. None of that kind of stuff. It's a playground it's dog friendly. As long as you pick up your dog's waste. There's nobody wants to bring their little kid there and have him step in dog crap right? Okay that's all I got to say about that
There was this HUGE metal round stake sticking up in the middle of the playground that an old ride use to be! Incredible!
we usually love coming here and using the sprinkler area today however there were some people washing up there and someone called the cops on them. just an overall unpleasant time. after that was all over we had a ton of fun.
I love to workout here. It's peaceful, always enough room for everyone, it's safe for everybody. It's a great place to have a walk, run , or workout. BEST PARK IN CHICOPEE!!!!! Holyoke is a close second.....
I went to a candle light vigil here for a lost loved one.. The turn out was very nice! ALOT of people showed up and there was enough room for everyone in the pavilion. The place was nice and clean.. When you're throwing or attending a sad event such as THIS, the last thing you want to deal with is the spot being TOO small, all messy, or trashy! Rivers Park did not disappoint!
Clean park with a spray park and playground. My son LOVED the spray park on a very humid day.
Quiet, pool in the summer, skate park, basketball courts, soccer and baseball u can watch, picnics or grilling, really nice and big playground for children and a pavilion for having parties or just lunch.
