They are great, I've learned a lot, but one of the trainers really doesn't know how to be a teacher of humans. She shames you if your dog isn't up to par/can tell if you haven't been practicing, etc. She also doesn't always answer questions well. I am probably a bit harsh because I am an educator myself. I am going to continue training my service dog with them for now, but I feel like I could have a better experience somewhere else or should have done private lessons. They run agility training concurrent with obedience training, and it can often get quite loud. It's not great for my anxiety. I get very overstimulated pretty easily and it's hard to focus and hear the teacher in class. Accessibility: They are located on the second floor, above the good dog spot, the stairs are steep, and there is no elevator. As a disabled person, I find the accessibility to be quite difficult and really is not the place to train a SD if you have mobility issues or are HOH. They are affordable and their class times are covienient. They take FOREVER to cash your check though so if you are like me and have to live paycheck to paycheck, pay in cash.
I signed my puppy up for classes not realizing they were on the second floor of the building. Despite trying, my pup refused to go up or down stairs so there was no way I’d be able to take him to class. I canceled with the required one week notice and was told my $50 deposit check would be returned. Almost one month later the check never showed up. I reached out to inquire when the check would be returned and was told they “forgot to get stamps but it would go out on Monday.” It has been a week and I still have not received the check. Incredibly unprofessional! Even if my pup learns to climb stairs I would never take him here or recommend them to anyone! Terrible customer service all around!
I have taken several obedience and now agility class. I have also taken at other training centers locally, but Exercise Finished is my favorite. Very knowledgeable instructors and spacious facilities. Their protocols now in the time of Covid 19 have been excellent and I feel lucky to have gotten into an agility class there. Frequent sanitizing, protocols for entering and exiting, and limits to class size so probably 10+ feet between dogs/owners and other members of class.
This is hands down the best place to learn how to communicate and get the most out of your relationship with your dog
Just make sure your puppy can do stairs because you will not get a refund. I have called several times but they never call back or answer their phones. For this reason I can not give more than 1 star rating.
Very affordable way to learn how to train your dog to do some basic commands. Sit, lay and heal, a great foundation to build on.
Response from Business Owner regarding Sue’s bizarre and unprofessional behavior, was just as unprofessional. Business Owner needs a Customer Service class and Trainer needs an anger management course! I will never subject myself, my Wife or my Puppies to them, EVER.
We attended the puppy class with Connor. Our pup Sig, my husband and I enjoyed the classes and learned a great deal. We will be signing up for another class in the fall. Thank you!
