Hope this helps some parents. I called the town the splash pad is open and free for non-residents. Seems to be some conflicting info on google. However the pools is for residents only which is a little lame.
As a black father, reading all the reviews claiming that the staff mistreat black people is truly aggravating. Staff are respectful to me and my kids and we don’t feel discriminated against whatsoever. Everyone saying staff treat black people unfairly are wrong as the lifeguards are just enforcing the pool rules that apply to everyone.
Grew up with this pool and now my kids get to grow up with it too. The new splash pad is a wonderful addition. Yes, it is now residents only... but residents who were trying to come last year only to have to leave due to a constantly full parking lot might finally have a chance to enjoy the pool. So kudos to canton rec dept for that. Splash pad is still free and open to all.
I recently discovered this place and my kids loved it. It’s very disappointing seeing my kids eyes 3 days ago when we got turned down due to RESIDENCE ONLY regulation. It would be greatly appreciated if management makes a day or 2 each Week to OPEN for NON-RESIDENCE ONLY.
I love the setup of the pool, with a gradual walk-in entrance, and the ripped off deep end, keeps it safe for those not great at swimming but also allows plenty of room for those you can. The splash pad is also a great way to keep kids busy during Adult Swim
Caught this rainbow as the sun was setting by the Canton town pool. Great place to go for a walk. Real nice views.
The diving board what the best, nice deep end to dive! Very shallow now but is nice and refreshing! No more grills outback pond overflows plants block up overflow not big enough needs to have a bigger underground pipe to bring to the street! Not much shade maybe up on the hill?! Parking lot is wicked small! Update now is only a town pool !!! Showers are nice but who uses them before and after using a pool!!! Even though it use to be required!! What I would like to know is the amount of people using the pool does that number have anything todo with the spray deck the allowed amount of people in either pool or spray deck?? I did think they use to have hotdogs in the snack bar but sugar candy is available!! Maybe time to clean up the pond and become a swimming area?! Been opened to others as long as I can remember like when penny candy store was on mechanic!!!
The lake behind the pool its a great place to clear your head
