Retro Fitness in Cambridge

I thoroughly enjoy the large selection of equipmen/machines and the two sections of dumbbells, that goes up to 120lbs . I'm a big fan of the squat racks, plenty of plates. Great section for the uses of the medicine balls and sled. I believe every serious gym should have them.The locker room is inviting and doesn't smell like a locker room. Super clean bathroom. And the made to order smoothie bar or protein shake is a nice touch.. Anything peanut butter is always a win. to comparing to some other clubs that I have trained before , don't offer the same quality or training experience.

I've been looking for a new gym and stumbled upon Retro Fitness as I was going for an evening walk! I must say - I love that this gym has a Zen Den! the red light therapy and the massage chairs is so great! I also love that all the place is SO clean, equipment was brand new and the selection of fitness classes was great. I will be returning to sign up very soon!!

Overall this is a great place , but after today’s class with Howard barging in to our Pilates class was NOT OKAY! The manager didn’t stop him or try and calm him down after his manic screaming episode at our Pilates instructor Shannon . Go find a place where people can be kind to each other and where the manager can control their manic employees Update : @nancy hanxi glad to know you’re also manic , please let me know if you would like me to recommend you to a psych unit . I’d love to help!!

loving retro! there’s something about a clean and new gym that make a workout even better. not only is there a ton of equipment without making you feel like you’re on top of each other while working out, but there’s a full smoothie bar and the staff is great! the gm, Anita, was able to answer all of my questions and really made my experience enjoyable. would highly recommend if you’re new to the area or even looking for a new gym in general :)

My new favorite gym! It’s so hard to find a gym in the Boston area that is both new and clean. All the machines are brand new, which makes so much easier to workout! The gym is very spacious so even on busy times is possible to use it with no problem. The staff is great too and I love the smoothie bar

I absolutely love this gym! It’s always spotless, and the cleanliness makes it such a comfortable place to workout and shower after. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which creates such a positive atmosphere. I had a billing question and I worked with the manager, Anita who was working onsite to get an answer. She was super friendly and so easy to work with - which is definitely not your typical gym experience. The gym is also very spacious, so even during busy times, it never feels crowded. Overall, it’s an amazing place to stay active and enjoy a great workout experience. Highly recommend - and shout out to the great staff they have over there.

Signed up right when they opened. It’s a great gym, very spacious and has all the equipment you need. Membership price is more than fair. Staff is very friendly. The GM Anita was great, she really helped me in making my decision to join. Overall I’d recommend this gym!

UPDATE AGAIN - they sent out a email blast. Changing to 5 stars. UPDATE - changing this to a 2-Star review because the gym staff does not coordinate closures and emergency notification with paying customers. If the gym is closed, we should be notified since you have our contact info. Not that hard to do a email blast. Went right after opening. New gym - clean, affordable rates, more spacious than the nearby Planet Fitness. Hopefully the management keeps it clean and well maintained
