I had some postpartum complications and was not able to get back into my normal fitness routine of running and lifting, so I started Pilates with Luz and am so glad I did! She helped me feel strong again and pushed me, while also catering the classes towards exactly what was safe and beneficial to me individually. Highly recommend!

After receiving diagnoses of osteoporosis and osteopenia, I began looking for an exercise program that would help improve my balance, strength and flexibility. My numerous lessons with Luz have increased each of those aspects of managing the diagnoses. My posture has improved and my core has become stronger. This makes a huge positive effect on how I use my body throughout the day. Luz' extensive knowledge teaches me how to do each movement correctly to gain maximum benefit. She is professional, yet warm, caring and encouraging. I’ve started taking Pilates classes with Luz in 2013, and my life has completely changed. She is an excellent professional, with in-depth knowledge of anatomy and body movements. I took in-person classes with her in Brazil, Canada, and I currently take online classes. In her classes, both in person and online, Luz always makes sure that I am performing the exercises correctly. She adapts the exercises to my needs and limitations, ensuring I feel safe and comfortable. Thanks to your great work, my pain and posture have improved a lot. I started doing Pilates with Luz six weeks postpartum after my second baby and haven’t stopped since. My youngest is almost three, and I truly believe that due to this consistent deep core and body work, I was able to regain my strength, alignment, and pelvic floor health. Luz is very thorough, knows how to modify the classes based on your current state, and is overall a lovely human. I can’t recommend her enough.
Luz is a wonderful pilates instructor and has helped me so much during pregnancy and postpartum (now 2 years post, have gradually increased intensity with a focus on core strength & stability). Cannot recommend her enough. She does everything from mat exercises to the reformer, tower, and now the CoreAlign machine. Luz listens and tailors sessions to what I need. I always get a great workout and feel so much stronger since I’ve been taking classes.
