Fitness and Fuel is a personal training gym that provides a holistic approach to health and fitness by focusing on two of the pillars of good health: exercise and nutrition. We provide training, food education, and healthy prepared food options to allow you to achieve the best possible results. When you first come in, we will find out what style of training is best for you, perform an assessment, and set you on the path to results. After that we will support your efforts with inspiration, fitness challenges, food education, and healthy tasty food! Our programs are designed to help you achieve your fitness goals, while educating you on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. We also provide mobility and injury prevention modalities
Fitness & Fuel (F&F) offers elements to my health and lifestyle that I cannot provide on my own: tailored and dynamic workout plans, encouragement and accountability. Above all, they have transformed my fitness journey into a joyful and community-oriented experience. This was a monumental shift from my previous approach of trying to "coach" myself into going to the gym, on a run/ride or to a one-size-fits-all class. My only regret is that I did not find F & F sooner! The tailored aspect of the plans is one of the highest value-adds for me. Without a background in training and fitness, all I had before joining F&F were my preferences and (often incorrect!) beliefs about what I needed from a fitness POV and how to achieve it. F&F trainers bring expertise, experience, encouragement and the 1:1 attention needed to tailor and adapt dynamic fitness plans. These plans have helped me to grow stronger, faster and move better without being overwhelming. The progress I have achieved, even in the face of persistent injury, has been amazing, and far exceeded my expectations of the progress I could make. I also did not expect to look forward to sessions as much as I do (which turns out to be one of the magic ingredients in their approach!). F&F trainers support each client's progress towards their individualized goals (which you can define yourself!) and provide support that keep you accountable and on track with these without being overwhelming. The trainers tailor personalized plans to make sure that each session makes impact for you in the short and long term. They help you visualize the growth you are making and adjust as needed (and in the moment) to meet you where you are when you come on a particular day. This review is not only a hearty endorsement of F&F, specifically, but it is a review of individualized fitness generally. I was a member of F&F for 3.5 years and they taught me so much about lifting & nutrition. I trained primarily with Michaela, but the whole team is great and their model offers exposure to different trainers. A highlight of my time there was winning the March Challenge!! F&F gave me the knowledge & skills to be confident about doing big lifts solo in any gym. It also gave me a great community of friends!
I love my gym! Jack is an amazing coach. I have a lot of joint issues and they tailor the plan accordingly and then they're always there to correct your form as you do the exercises. I've been going for over 8 months now.
Supportive and knowledgeable staff in a well maintained workout space. After doing the exact same workout for over 10 years, I knew it was time for a change. Fitness and Fuel - and especially Jack Losey - came highly recommended from a friend. I started 1.5 years ago and haven't looked back. I have a regular day/time that I work out at their gym and they give me a home workout that I can do in my complex's gym on an alternate day. Both workouts change every 4 weeks. I never would have thought that 2 solid, well-thought out, workouts per week could be so impactful. In addition, I have continued hiking, biking and Peloton, so I'm usually doing something at least 5 days per week. My strength and flexibility have both improved and my stamina for aerobic exercise has greatly increased as well. As a 66 year-old male, I'm very pleased with the results. The addition of Fitness and Fuel has been life changing and I expect to continue for quite some time.
Even though I don’t think of myself as a gym person, I always leave Finess and Fuel feeling positive and motivated. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive and the workouts are individualized and optimally challenging. The overall vibe is welcoming and encouraging. The small group format hits the sweet spot between enjoying working out in the company of others while getting a tailored workout with one on one guidance and coaching.
I started at Fitness and Fuel four months ago at a time in my life when I knew I needed to make some changes to prioritize my health. I travel constantly for work and have really struggled with consistency in working out. I felt I had deprioritized fitness in my very busy life. This gym is so lovely - the trainers are all knowledgable, approachable, and very encouraging - and the results I've seen in such a short time astound me. With the full body workout each session, I've shed much of my extra weight and I have built muscle noticeable enough that my friends are even commenting on it. Most notably, it's given me a confidence I didn't realize I was lacking. My work life has felt easier, and I notice myself approaching my goals with the knowledge that I am capable and strong. A whole transformation in the works over here. I'm so grateful I found this gym!
I joined Fitness & Fuel because I wanted to work on strength training as a woman in my 40s. I hadn't gone to a gym in years and didn't know where to start. That's where Fitness & Fuel comes into play and has been a game changer for me. F&F provides tailored programs based on your individual goals, taking into account any previous injuries or issues. They also continue to adapt your program based on your evolving needs and interests, which is really cool. F&F is a really welcoming, inclusive, and friendly place where there are all shapes, sizes, and ages of people. You start to see the same group of people so I feel like I'm building a little community there, which is fun. Each person in the small group training has their own goals and program so there is no pressure or comparison to others since we are all doing our own thing while being supported by a personal trainer. The trainers are super qualified, supportive, and friendly. They meet you were you are at and create a really positive environment. Based on my goals and schedule, I go to F&F twice a week, which I have found to be a really great cadence. The great thing is that they have really flexible and realistic policies so you can always update your schedule and membership as needed. Honestly, I can't say enough great things about F&F. 10/10. As a somewhat experienced lifter, I'd recently found myself in a rut at the gym where I was just going through the motions and not really pushing myself or making any progress. Enter the trial week at Fitness and Fuel - after a thorough assessment, the team was able to write and coach me through a workout that not only encompassed my goals of getting stronger but had me feeling challenged for the first time in years! I was hooked! Everyone there is so welcoming and knowledgeable, and they've done such a great job of building such a solid community with their members. I would recommend Fitness and Fuel to anyone, brand new to fitness or experienced!
