Great staff! Great pool! I learn to swim here under a fantastic coach and very helpful and dedicated staff! Thank you! Thank you!
Very clean private changing room warm showers
Best local pool! Love the staff and the pool is large and well-lit with natural light. A rare city pool gem
I just don't understand why visitors continually park on the sidewalk next to the kids' playground. It's unnecessary given that there's a parking lot and unsafe when the children are out. Asked the attendant inside why people keep parking on the sidewalks every week. The response, "It's the aquatic class. It's always like that." Terrible Boston culture. These are the same people you're swimming with. Used to like this pool. Came over here because the life guards let the teenagers splash and disrupt lap swim at Leahy/Holloran lap swim in Dorchester along Morrissey. Not great.
It's a decent sized pool and pretty clean. Never gets too crowded. The locker room facilities could use an update. Minus 1 more star because their youth swim classes are ridiculously impossible to get into. It feels like you basically need to win the lottery to get your kid into swim class there. :( I have been trying for literally 3 years. It shouldn't be this hard.
The Flaherty pool provided are changing room to change into your swimsuit and provided a quick shower before jumping into the water. The water was pretty warm and so was the air. There was two lifeguard's present in case it was an emergency. And I was giving around 45 minutes to swim around and enjoy the water. The fullest facilities didn't amaze me, but in math perfect standards of a local neighborhood pool.
Clean facilities. Pool, lockers, showers always clean. Seniors treated with respect. Prices reasonable. Staff is caring and helpful. Masters swim in a.m. Hook in shower and a nice bench for gear. Liquid soap dispensed from a sanitary bag inside dispenser. Free parking near building. Lessons for ages 3 to whatever available.
It's a good neighborhood pool. Lots of lap times. Could better enforce pool regulations: require shower of everyone entering the pool, require pool caps, especially anyone with long hair, vigilance of pool chemicals keeping water clean and not having to shock with chlorine. Some lifeguards are very alert and watchful. Others are busy talking with friends and not watching swimmers. Even an excellent swimmer can suffer a medical event. Programs are varied and costs are very reasonable.
