Awesome course, a bit challenging for me, but def want to go back again! Staff is excellent and very friendly!
Great course and a great value. Staff was excellent. Looking forward to playing it again.
My group and I went to mill valley last weekend Monday 10/9/23 to be precise to complete our final championship round of league golf, Spent more than $300.00 with fees and drinks although we have played the course at least 2 times a year in the past and it's usually in pretty good shape, although this was the 1st time this year. My group consisted of 8 (minus one no show) So 7 of us went out in 3 different groups, the first few holes up to I believe hole 5 or 6 were in pretty good shape greens were fast but nice. After that the greens were covered in dirt and had aerated plugs left all across the greens, not to mention someone more than likely the grounds crew continuously drove a loud tractor thru us (never once stopped to allow us to tee of or play the fairway) and other golfers as we were driving and trying to shoot with a load of dirt in his bucket and dumping it on the greens then trying to smooth it out as we were playing!!! Needless to say we had to call off the championship game due to the greens and now have to reschedule this weekend or next, which of course will cost us more money !!! I believe my group should be compensated for the lack of respect and or courtesy with a free round even 9 holes would be nice but without the tractor and dirt! and this note to the owner whomever is in charge of your grounds crew you may want to update them on GOLF ETIQUETTE !!!! I give it 1 star only because I can't go any lower!
changed the course and the greens are running fast and firm, a little too firm. but it is a really good challenge. and the course record is beatable from the back tees(84) which adds a level of excitement. just keep the ball in play and be next level on approach strategies, have to run the ball up or land the ball in the rough too get it to stop. like a links
A challenging course! The staff have always been kind to me, the greens and tee boxes are in good shape. However the fairways sometimes seem like rough, a lot of tall grass surrounding the fairways so bring plenty of balls. The cart paths need work, but from hearing from others on all the improvements made I’m sure they will be in near future. They have great carts and it’s a very lax environment.
Great course. If you have not played here in awhile you may not recognize some holes.
Waiting for my golf buddy to arrive gave me the opportunity to watch the owners sanitize each golf cart that was returned over a 45 minute period at noon this Sunday. There were dozens. I would have felt comfortable eating off the gas pedal when they were through. Course itself is in pristine condition. Over the past 3 seasons it’s gone from good to great. The owner and his wife have done a phenomenal job. Prices have remained below average and the course conditions well above it. I d recommend anyone who hasn’t played in the past 4 or 5 years to give it another shot. Less of course you still prefer to pay more and run the risk of catching a deadly virus.
The course is in great shape, and they never stop looking for ways to change and improve. I love the challenge of this course. It demands accuracy and control. Each hole stands alone with no overlap, so you're not as likely to need to yell "Fore!" towards golfers on the abutting holes - which is nice!
