Club Pilates Avon is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
My experience at Club Pilates in Avon was really disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional to start off with, making me feel unwelcome as soon as I walked in. You’d think a fitness studio would have better customer service, but that was definitely not the case. On top of that, they sent a super last-minute text about what I needed to bring to the intro class, which was really frustrating. They should’ve given that info way earlier instead of making it stressful last minute. Then there’s the grip socks situation. They force you to buy their ridiculously overpriced socks but wouldn’t even let me step out to go to Athleta or Gap right nearby, where I could’ve gotten a pair for way cheaper. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze more money out of people. And the intro class? A complete waste of time. It’s only 30 minutes, and the exercises were way too easy. I was expecting something more challenging, but it wasn’t what I was looking for at all. To top it all off, just by looking at their memberships… they’re insanely expensive and I believe overpriced. It’s just not worth it when you can go to a regular gym like Big Sky and get Pilates classes included for way less. Between the rude staff, terrible communication, overpriced socks, and crazy membership fees, I would never go back to Club Pilates Avon. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!
Classes were great if you were able to actually get one you wanted. They don’t show you the calendar until after you sign a contract and pay at that time you realize there are no open classes. Charges a lot for monthly membership but rarely any classes available. Tried to cancel multiple times and just can’t seem to do it. They continued to try and charge my card for monthly membership. Staff is rude and not helpful at all. Be careful with this club.
I recently joined Club Pilates Avon. I am obsessed! The classes are challenging and everyone is so friendly! I feel stronger already - only 10 classes in! It IS worth the investment!
NOT A FAN-Almost never an open class. I was a member for almost 2 years, 87 classes, loved it, and love the instructors! It’s great work out. 1 star because they screwed me out of 2 months after I asked to put my membership on hold due to being out of town for a couple of months and after an injury in class- they kept charging me, assured me I’d be credited, I asked repeatedly for months, they lied and would not credit me- it’s like around $250 a month so it’s a lot of money. Management was rude- terrible customer service- they have a lot of members, so they don’t seem to care at all about customer retention. So I cancelled my membership, not dealing with that.
Overall quality of classes I would rank the studio 5 stars. Like all group fitness franchises not all instructors are created equal but I enjoy my classes here and find them challenging. The variety of classes are nice and keep me from getting bored. Leah and Yi's classes are hard in the best way possible and I love it. Will most likely keep my membership going just to take their classes alone. I feel stronger and have incorporated Pilates into my weekly routine 5-6 times a week. When it comes to studio experience, Club Pilates falls under the same franchise as Pure Barre, Cycle Bar, Solid Core, etc. As someone who has tried other classes within the Xpotential family, one of the biggest overlaps between the franchises are the class milestone celebrations. I have seen many of my fellow studio members reach milestones that were celebrated but also some that were not, including myself. Consistency in celebrating your clients is important (to me at least). Also recognizing your clients! As someone who has taken well over 150+ classes, I feel as no one knows my name. I have gone to Pure Barre studios where I have only taken one class and i come back and they know me by name. This is often the driving factor for how I recommend classes to friends; having a consistently good experience across the board no matter what studio you go to. That small little detail of someone recognizing you is a huge part of why people love small businesses. This is the first studio I have joined where there are no perks for being an unlimited member. I have often seen a 10% discount on retail for unlimited members, free intensive classes or a discounted special intensive class, and special stackable discounts during sales/holidays. An annual unlimited membership at Club Pilates will cost you well over $2200+ which is more than the base Equinox membership in some cities. I wish the customer experience was consistent and equally great for all clients. I gave some feedback anonymously to the staff a few weeks back and they recently added a fitness challenge which is nice to see. Kudos to taking the feedback! Fitness challenges are a great way to get the clients together and work towards a common goal. The execution of the start of the challenge needs work as not everyone has a fair start based on how it was announced. I hope my review also leads to some positive changes as well.
I love Club Pilates Avon! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and helpful in achieving whatever fitness goals you may have. And the staff are so welcoming that you feel like it’s your second home.
Nicest Pilates studio I’ve ever been in. Top of the line equipment, everything in pristine condition. A joy to walk into. All of the instructors I’ve had so far are great—especially in helping me with my form—and they are all very encouraging. I especially appreciate the background music that’s always playing—and at the perfect volume. May be a small thing to others, but I’ve been in so many fitness clubs over the years that play obnoxious music…not what I want to hear when I’m concentrating on exercising. I find it very serene. I almost forget I’m exercising….until I get out of bed the next day and feel it in every muscle. Club Pilates has quickly become my happy place! 😊
This is a place to regain strength, flexibility, and a positive mindset. It’s amazing how strong and mentally healthy you feel after each class! The Teachers are skilled, engaging and supportive of your personal goals. They truly love and believe in creating a healthy lifestyle for all who walk in their doors. I am grateful for the Club Pilates Avon Studio. It’s where miracles happen....💫💫💫
