Whoever the bartender was (woman) working the day of Blarney Umass Amherst refused my friends and I service even though we were perfectly fine and just wanted to be served food. The policy for not serving people who were celebrating Blarney was not okay. We were completely fine and there was nobody else there. We were unproblematic and simply wanted food. This policy was not okay and was very presumptuous. She also was very rude. Would never come back ever again.
This is our neighborhood pub with excellent food and amazing staff! I recommend the truffle burger.
We had always wanted to try this place and it just happened to be the perfect time. The atmosphere with the old fashioned ceiling was awesome. Several regulars sitting at the large bar watching the football game. Everyone was very friendly and I could see it being really easy at being a regular bar to hang out at. We had Chili and the Reuben Burger which were both very good. And they had one of my favorite beers on tap. I had the Cheesecake for dessert and it was also very good. Definitely going back.
Went right after visiting the Mill district general store and this place really brings the area together. Went there on the 15th with some friends. Good place for a beer and conversation. Food and specials are well maintained. The bartender was genuine. Good soul.
Caroline was our waitress and she did an amazing job! She got us seated and brought our drinks out right away. The food was fantastic. The prices were very inexpensive. My husband got the bratwurst sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Huge portions! He’s bringing half of it home. I got the harvest salad and added chicken. Again… Delicious and a very good quantity. We couldn’t be happier. The staff was friendly and attentive. We loved it here!
We went for a mini day trip and stopped here for lunch. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly. A good selection on the menu. We got the hummus board, beet and bleu salad and both of us got French onion soup. The freshness and flavor was more than I was expecting from a little Pub. The price is fair for the serving size and everything was delicious!
Careful- you might pass right by this place (looks like a house!). We came in at 12 noon on a Saturday- not very busy. We were told to just grab a seat anywhere we like. Sweet! We started with a Guinness, and a mango arnold palmer. Very good! My wife ordered the mushroom burger with truffle fries, and I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with sweet potato fries, and... WOW!! Very, very good!! Like.. SUPER good!! Be sure to stop in, and ask for Madison. She will steer you in the right direction if you're undecided on what to get! 👍😎 Thank you so much!!
A very nice place to enjoy beer on tap. The cocktails are nice as well. The staff was very welcoming. The menu is somewhat limited, but has plenty options for every taste. There is a chance for phone ordering and easy pickup system. Since is located relatively close to UMass it end up being a nice place to gather with coworkers or friends. Definitely a place that I will visit again.
