Such a beautiful campus! I brought my daughter there for a tour and had a great time walking around and exploring the campus even though it was sooo cold 🥶
Great visit to UMASS Amherst for admitted students Destination Day 2/23/25. Very well presented info-nars with detailed info and answered questions on chosen major and student life and support. Not so much on understanding dorm selection. The stated locations of some events were not correctly titled following Google maps to university buildings so a bit difficult to find way around a large campus. All in all pretty good.
Torturous experimentation on animals, sleep deprivation for 24 days is absolutely inhumane. This place should be fined the maximum amount of fines
This is a top ten for state universities in the USA. Individual colleges are recognized even higher: polymer engineering, nursing, natural sciences and school of management. Reasonable prices compared to private schools with just as good an education.
The admission office even doesn't review my second major choice. they only give me the reason that my first major choice is limited, and there is no space to get into. why the most of universities in the Canada and U.S. I applied are so slipshod and hubris? the response and reason given are so slipshod that I really suspect if they really review the application carefully or just filter the applicants automatically by computer?
The quote "UMass Amhert has Great Chemistry" says it all! I love the installations, the university provides the students with everything necessary to their succes. Food here is also excellent
Went for a leadership summit there. Beautiful campus. Amazing food from the college dining. I have no idea how much I ate. Free bus service took us to their really cute downtown. Awesome people.
Great college and infrastructure. This is one of the largest university in New England and very good for computer science and related fields. pros: Good university with excellent infrastructure and ideal environment for student life. Most of the buildings are new and in good condition. Since there is a large student body, you will find many different kinds of student activities like sports activities and other extra curricular activities. Cons: Since the university is not located near big city, Not all companies come for the career fairs.
